MIA Canvas: Get Stuck on this Art!
![]() |
In these days of stainless steel appliances it can be tough to find a place to hang the abundance of beautiful kid-art that you’re surely amassing. That’s where a MIA Canvas ($40 and up) comes in handy.
These lovely hand-painted, acrylic pieces look, at first glance, like art themselves. And they are — especially when your children are young, since the canvases (which can even be personalized) make perfect nursery décor. They’re also made with a number of different tactile surfaces so children can explore them from an early age. But beyond that, they’re magnetic so that as your kids get older and start creating their own masterpieces, a nifty magnet or two (many magnets are included with each MIA Canvas) will hold up their creations for all the world to see.
It’s a pretty neat idea — art that holds art. As soon as our Family Tree and School Skills MIA Canvases came out of the box, my kids were hooked. Several games of tic tac toe later and we knew the MIA Canvases were going to be up on our walls for a long, long time. Which is good. Since I’m really hoping to get a stainless steel fridge one of these days…
