Fit2BMom: Work Out and Look Great

Mustering up the energy to work out while pregnant is hard enough, but doing so in tent-sized T-shirts and your husband’s gym shorts can make the prospect downright off-putting. Christine Lavin set out to change that. While expecting her first child, the former fitness instructor launched Fit2BMom, a stylish line of work-out gear to keep moms-to-be active throughout their pregnancy and beyond.

I tried the roundneck tee ($49) in a gorgeous soft blue and the black capri pants ($65) with a roll-down waistband, and loved how form-fitting yet comfortable the clothing was. I can easily see myself wearing both items well into my fourth trimester which means you can get a full-year (or more) of wear from these clothes.

Designed with a technically-innovative fabric that keeps the body dry during exercise, the work-out gear has won fans among celebs such as Ugly Betty‘s Ana Ortiz. “I have been practically living in them,” says Ana, who is expecting her first child in July. “Good thing my husband loves them too, he says I look “super-hot” when I’m wearing them.”

The Spring ’09 collection also features a cami top ($57) in several colors, a long pant version of the capri ($72), a track jacket ($79), a skort ($60) and various other items.

Those tops and bottoms look so comfy and make me wish I had a cute little baby bump to wear these with!

wish this had been around last year when i was pregnant. i jogged until 31 weeks, did yoga until the very end, and it would have been nice to have something like this to wear.
