I probably wouldn’t buy this over the $20 plastic Fisher Price one just because of price, but it is a nice looking chair.

And I don’t think padding is necessary…all of my children have used a wooden high chair pulled up to the table or the HandySitt booster seat/high chair and have been just fine. I’m sitting in a wooden chair as I type this and am comfortable too! (;
