Alonzo Mourning and Wife Expecting Third Child

Seth Browarnik/Startraks

During a Thursday appearance in Bal Harbour, Fla., basketball legend Alonzo Mourning and wife Tracy announced that their brood is about to grow by one!

When asked by a news crew whether she enjoys working out with her husband now that he is newly retired from the NBA, Tracy demurred, revealing instead that she is pregnant with a baby boy — the couple’s second son, and third child overall.

No word on a due date was given.

Alonzo, 39, and Tracy are already parents to 12-year-old Alonzo III and 8-year-old Myka Sydney.

Kelis Likens Later Stages of Pregnancy to 'Purgatory'

Johnny Nunez/WireImage

Taking to Twitter to voice her third trimester angst, Kelis is “so ready” to have her baby! Currently eight months and one week pregnant with her first child, a son, the 29-year-old singer writes that she has been “living in purgatory.”

“I feel like I have been pregnant forever…Okay, yeah the better part of a year! It’s an eternity.”

There are some staples of pregnancy that she hopes she’ll never see again — like leggings! “Good grief, a girl can only stand but so much Lycra in one lifetime,” she notes. “I have had enough…I want corsets and and tight jeans and platform stilettos and I want it now!”

The discomfort she describes is something most moms know all too well. “My rib cage is being attacked by my stomach which is annihilating my lungs,” she writes.

“I want this little martian now! I can’t wait — the suspense is crazy.”

Baby boy will be the second child for Kelis’ estranged husband, rapper Nas, who is already dad to a 15-year-old daughter named Destiny. Kelis’ due date is July 21st.

Calafant Palace: A Cardboard Castle Fit for a Real Princess

Everyone knows that a kid’s favorite toy is a big, cardboard box. Our trip to Toy Fair showed that several companies are taking the concept farther and designing elaborate, chic and cool cardboard toys. They ship flat (in more cardboard!), they’re made from recycled materials and the prices range from $7-77. We know that any parent with a refrigerator box and a pair of scissors can become a hero in four minutes flat, but when we see a trend we have to tell you about it!

Calafant’s palace ($25)  is the most complicated cardboard toy we reviewed, but the result is a really detailed palace with turrets, windows and a working drawbridge! It’s 18″ tall and came in 13 pieces, and it took one capable adult and one impatient child 25 minutes to build. It wasn’t difficult because the instructions have pretty good photos, though it would help if the pieces were numbered so I could see which one was pictured.

The palace was designed by German cartoonist Boris Schimanski, who started building cardboard toys to entertain his own children. His ingenious designs have cutaways that fold down to make floors for doll-house-style play, plus they make the structure much stronger. If you’re put off by spending a ton on cardboard, consider one of their small toys, like the $7 dinosaur that comes with six markers for decorating. I like the castle so much that I plan to buy one for a birthday gift for my son’s friend, who insists she is an actual princess.

Jennifer Lopez Loves Working With Her Twins in Tow

Pacific Coast News

Set to make her return to the big screen in The Back-Up Plan following a three year hiatus, Jennifer Lopez first had to conquer the basics: nerves! Admitting that her initial jitters were once a force to be reckoned with — “I was like, ‘What if I forgot how to act?’” — the star has once again found her comfort zone. “It’s great to be back, actually,” she tells Entertainment Tonight.

That said, much has changed since her last movie; Not only did Jennifer show up the first day on location, but so did her 15-month-old twins Maximilian ‘Max’ David and Emme Maribel! “I bring the babies to work with me,” she shares.

“Honestly one of the best days of my life was the first day back working on this film – I wanted to do this film really badly — and bringing my babies with me that morning. I was like, ‘Oh my God, they’re with me, I’m making a movie, they’re here!’ It was the best.”

While she may be thrilled with her place in life, the road leading her back in front of a camera was not easily traveled! After gaining a total of 50 lbs. during the pregnancy, Jennifer admits she once envisioned the extra weight melting off with little effort; Unfortunately, once she hit a plateau, her assumptions were far from the reality. “The first 30 [lbs] dropped off like that and I was like, ‘Ha! This is going to be so easy!’” she recalls. “And then those last 20 … Whew! That took awhile.”

For the 39-year-old, stepping into her role as Zoe in her new film, a woman desperate to start her own family, was no stretch of the imagination. “It’s great that I get to do the whole pregnant thing because it is so fresh in my mind,” she says. To that end, her journey thus far of motherhood has given her a new edge, Jennifer explains, one that allows her to bring her own experiences to the table. “Just being a mom and thinking about being a mom … the emotional part of it, kind of the sentimental feelings that go along with the romance of it and somebody standing by you.”

“I get to bring all of that into this movie … my perspective has changed for the better, I think.”

Max and Emme are Jennifer’s first children with husband Marc Anthony.
