Cameron Diaz: I Could be the 'Next Octomom'

Steve Granitz/WireImage

In the July issue of Cosmopolitan UK, Cameron Diaz elaborates upon her stance on motherhood. Reiterating that she would “never say never,” the 36-year-old actress muses that she could “end up adopting half a dozen kids” and wind up “the next octomom,” or she could just as easily allow her nieces and nephews to take care of her in her old age. “Who fricking knows?” she asks.

“I don’t worry about what other people want for me. I just have to focus on what I want for myself.”

Constantly being posed the question of whether or not she’ll have a baby isn’t something that Cameron finds depressing, however. She notes that “in our society, [motherhood] is what you’re supposed to do.” The tides may be turning; Cameron goes on to note that she currently has more girlfriends without children than she has girlfriends who are mothers. “I think women are afraid to say they don’t want children because they’re going to get shunned,” she opines, adding,

“And honestly? We don’t need any more kids. We have plenty of people on this planet.”

Graco My Ride 65: The First Convertible Car Seat to Rear-Face to 40 Pounds!

Flair fashion

There’s been a trend in the car seat field to increase the weight limit of infant car seats to as much as 32 pounds to extend the length of time you use it. Even if you don’t use it outside of the car, manufacturers and the American Academy of Pediatricians (AAP) want your child to rear-face as long as possible. There’s also a trend to create toddler car seats with higher weight limits as well so they stay in it as long as possible before switching to a booster seat which is less safe. But what about extending the time a child can rear-face in a convertible seat?

Graco’s My Ride 65 ($150), available in store now, is a new convertible car seat that will take your child from newborn to kindergarten or possibly beyond. Taking into consideration the new AAP recommendation that children rear-face until age two instead of one, My Ride 65 allows children to rear-face from 5 to 40 lbs — an all-time high for rear-facing car seats, whether infant or convertible. When the child reaches the weight and height limit, you can turn the seat around and use it forward-facing until your child is 65 lbs. Chances are, your child will be in elementary school when he finally outgrows this seat so theoretically, the My Ride 65 could be the only car seat you’ll ever need to buy.

Tiger Woods Doubles His Fun With Daughter and Son

Dom Furore/Woods Family via Getty Images

As he looks forward to Father’s Day this weekend, Tiger Woods will no doubt feel the loss of his own dad Earl Woods, whom he lost three years ago after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer. The 33-year-old golf great has much to celebrate, however: His second Father’s Day with daughter Sam Alexis, turning two tomorrow, and his first ever with new son Charlie Axel, 4 months. “I couldn’t be happier than where I am right now,” he raves.

“Having the two kids is just unbelievable, how much fun we are all having, except the sleepless nights – that can be a little tough at times. But other than that it’s just been incredible.”

Tiger and wife Elin are having such a blast, in fact, they’ve served as the unofficial spokescouple for parenthood to Tiger’s good friend Roger Federer and his wife Mirka, who expect a baby boy this summer. The tennis superstar reached out to Tiger when he and Mirka were discussing the possibility of starting a family, and while Tiger says he doubts his words served as “the turning point,” they certainly didn’t dissuade the Federers, either! Although the constant travel involved with being a professional athlete can be tough, Tiger says there are also advantages.

“I think my kids will certainly experience something that I didn’t experience, even in my generation, with accessibility to these places. And I think it’s going to be very fun for them and educational for both of them.”

Tiger reveals that Sam has inherited his stubborn streak, and is already asserting her independence on the course. “She doesn’t like for me to help her hold a golf club,” Tiger says. “She’ll figure it out herself.” Spending time with his daughter during her infancy as he rehabbed from knee surgery was instrumental to his recovery. “The best thing in the world was actually to watch her grow and, you know, each and every day have fun with that and teach her different things,” he says. “I really enjoy that type of life.” From the sound of things, he’ll be enjoying himself for years to come. Tiger adds,

“I love to teach, and to be able to teach Sam, and as soon as I can, start teaching Charlie a few things, that’s fun. I live to be able to do that.”
