Fisher Price Kid-Tough Walkie Talkies: Built to Last

As a mom of two boys, I’m a fan of any product that has the word ‘tough’ in its name. The toys in our house are used and abused; it’s the kind of place where only the strong survive.

The Fisher Price Kid-Tough Walkie Talkies ($22) are built to last and it’s a good thing, too. When our sons have their choice of toys to play with, they reach for their walkie talkies time and time again.

Click below to read about why this toy is great for siblings who fight over toys.

Maya Rudolph On Accepting Imperfections As a Mom

Dave Allocca/Startraks

While pregnant with daughter Pearl Bailey, now 3 ½, Maya Rudolph admits that she harbored a “fantasy” about what kind of mom she would go on to be. Theory clashed with result, however, when Maya realized — like most moms do — that having a baby sometimes doesn’t change everything. “You’re still the same person, the same things still bother you, you’re not perfect,” she explains. “But you can still be someone’s parent, someone’s mother, and it can still be okay.”

“There’s no question that you want to give them everything and you want their lives to be perfect. Has any human achieved that? No, probably not.”

In an interview conducted by her Away We Go co-star John Krasinski for BlackBook, Maya opens up about the moment Pearl was born. A delivery surprise, the big reveal was delayed even longer than usual! “When she finally came out, there was a really quick snip and suddenly, she was resting on my chest, staring at me,” Maya explains. “And her eyes were super-black. She looked like Marlon Brando in The Island of Doctor Moreau, because she was covered in all of these white blankets staring at me.”

“I remember, in that moment, thinking, ‘Yes, this is my baby.’ I’d always tried to picture what my baby would look like, and in that second, I was like, ‘Yes, this is the baby I’ve been expecting.’ And then the doctor said, ‘Oops, we forgot to see what it was.’ I didn’t know if it was a boy or a girl, but I knew it was my baby.”

That feeling has only been reinforced as Pearl has grown. Deemed the “coolest girl I’ve ever met” by John, Maya says that the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree. “Let’s put it this way: If she had come out as a total wallflower, and said stuff like, ‘I hate reading and I don’t like to perform,’ then I’d be like, ‘That’s not my kid,’” Maya says. “So it doesn’t really surprise me that she’s like, ‘Hey, I’m funny and I like to hang out.’”

“There’s no question: you get that proud mom grin sometimes, when it’s like, Check it out. That’s my kid. But, yeah, she is who I thought she’d be in a lot of ways.”

Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett: Date Night!

Gregg DeGuire/PictureGroup

Kendra Wilkinson cuddles up to fiancé Hank Baskett at the Los Angeles Film Festival’s screening of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Monday in Westwood, Calif.

“This is my wedding gift to him,” the former Girls Next Door star told PEOPLE about treating Hank to an evening out days before their June 27th nuptials.

Kendra, 24, shares that she is 14 weeks along in her pregnancy, with a due date around Christmas. As for whispers that the couple, who became engaged in November, are moving quickly, Kendra brushes aside the rumors.

“We are so excited for all this. We couldn’t ask for anything better to happen in our lives. It’s time for this to happen,” she explains. “Everybody is like, ‘Are you rushing things?’ I’m like, ‘This is what we want! This is our life.’”

“If we weren’t moving too fast then we would be moving way too slow. This is us. [The wedding] is going on as planned. The only different thing for me is that I won’t be drinking. I’ll be drinking Martinelli’s apple juice!”

Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick Welcome Twin Daughters Marion and Tabitha

Bruce Glikas/FilmMagic

The latest additions to the Parker-Broderick family have arrived! Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick‘s surrogate delivered twin girls — Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick — at 3:58 p.m. on Monday, June 22nd in Ohio. Marion weighed in at 5 lbs., 11 oz, while Tabitha was 6 lbs.

Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Sarah Jessica’s side. “The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon,” the couple said in a statement released this afternoon.

Marion and Tabitha, who were due in July, join big brother James Wilkie, 6 ½. Sarah Jessica, 44, and Matthew, 47, have been married 12 years.

The couple announced the pregnancy and sexes of the babies in April, but the news came at a price. Concerned for the safety of the surrogate carrying the babies, Sarah Jessica spoke out in May, imploring the public to respect the woman’s privacy. Still, the family remained excited, with Matthew telling David Letterman, “I’m nervous just even thinking about it, but it’s girls … two little girls.”
