Gingi, I totally agree with you! I have thought the same thing about the “eco friendly 100% organic” mom’s almost acting like they are better mothers and that they are doing better than the rest of us when it comes to raising their children. Frankly-I can’t afford all organic, if I could then I would and I think thats how most people feel- no need for people to rub it in our faces.

I loved this interview, and I can’t wait for her to have her baby with her, either. Sounds like she’s all geared up and ready, literally and figuratively. I’m just hoping she’ll share some photos of the little girl.

Perhaps I should have clarified. . .

This is the third mom off the top of my head (Mayim Bialik and Kelly Rutherford being the other two) that I’ve seen here extolling the virtues of being eco-friendly. I get it already. I wasn’t trying to pick on Ana Ortiz.

Gingi, I think she agrees with you here, I don’t think she was being pretentious at all.

I do live ecofriendly and organic, I am also a vegan and it is quite the struggle sometimes, but as a family, we have commited to living this way and have made sacrifices in other areas. I agree 100% that it should be easier and more accessible to the average consumer.

She seems very down to earth.

Maybe it’s just me, but I find it very prententious when women brag about how eco-concious they are/going to be for their children. It’s as if they are asserting that they are “better” moms because of it. The reality is that adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle (including organic food/clothes) is expensive. And that expense makes the lifestyle inaccesible for the average consumer.

Hey D, I’m with you there because I’m due that day also. I though she was due at the end of July then I saw her and she is getting too big to be due later but I cant wait to know what she names her baby girl.

LOL. Everytime CBB posts about Ana her due date changes. First it was the end of July, then it was June 26 or 27 now it is the 25. I only notice because I am due on the 20th of June.

It’s true! We went to re-confirm the 27th with her yesterday, and she says it’s actually the 25th. So straight from the horse’s mouth, that’s what we’re going with!
