Sun Smarties Sun Safe Collection: Mix and Match For Protection With Style

Sure, itsy-bitsy kids swimsuits are adorable, but trying to cover all that exposed skin with sunscreen and preventing sunburn isn’t. This season I’m relying on One Step Ahead’s Sun Smarties collection of mix-and-match sun protection outfits for babies, toddlers and kids. Ranging from rashguards, t-shirts and board shorts to hats, sunglasses and surf shoes, the collection is all UPF 50+ and is made with high quality, soft and durable fabrics in fun and colorful prints.

The one-piece nearly head-to-toe Zip Suit ($35) for babies and toddlers (12 months-4T) offers plenty of coverage and the 12-24 months sizes include snap-up legs for easy diaper changes. For older kids (sizes 5/6-10) there’s the more stylized and slim-fitting Kid’s Zip Suit ($35). I love pairing the half-sleeve Girl’s Swim Shirt ($20) with the fitted knee-length Swim Short ($20) or mid-thigh length Swim Diaper Skirt ($17) that all come in sweet mix-and-match prints. For the boys I mixed the half-sleeve Rashguard ($25) and Boy’s Swim Shirt ($20) with the knee-length Boy’s Swim Trunk ($19). Additionally, the smaller sizes of the Diaper Skirt and Trunk have built-in swim diapers. The amazing range of options means you can choose the length and coverage you want. One caveat is that the Trunk runs large.

I also highly recommend the Surf Socks ($10), which help keep little toes from getting scorched when the sand is hot. They also help prevent slipping when you’re poolside.

Nice products, i guess. They’re worth to try for my daughter. She is almost 3 years and likes doing outdoor activity for hours.
