My mom is 53 and she went to grammar school with a girl named Apple.

I don’t get the big deal over the pregnant ‘man’. If you have XX chromosomes, ovaries, a uterus and a working vagina then you are NOT a man whom gave birth. He is a woman living as a man with whom gave birth. Nothing wrong with that at all but this is in no way a remarkable story.

I agree mama2be. It’s be a remarkable story if an actual man gave birth, but this is just a media driven spectacle. This family is being exploited and it’s sad that they don’t seem to understand or care.

Thank you Mama2be and Mimi. This is a woman who had her breasts removed and began taking male hormones as part of a transition to becoming a man. If “Tom” had followed through with gender reassignment surgery and somehow became pregnant (without a uterus and ovaries), THEN it would be an interesting newstory. Otherwise, it’s just another woman experiencing childbirth. Please do not perpetuate the myth or tale that this is a pregnant man. It’s a woman who had a baby.

Socially he is a man and I will consider him a man out of respect for his identity, however, biologically it is not extraordinary. It’s just morbid press trying to make a big deal out of transgender issues and a functional family.

Would it be possible for you to list those moms who made the Top 15 – I am struggling to see them without running the entire 100!

Lorus on

He is called the pregnant man because under the law he is considered a man.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
