Nicole Richie: Gold Rush

Waving hello, an expectant Nicole Richie arrives, swathed in gold jewelry, at the Switch Boutique Runway Show, held Thursday evening at Boulevard 3 in Los Angeles.

Featuring fashion by Pete Wentz‘s Clandestine Industries — including an I (Heart) BX tee –  and jewelry by Nicole’s House of Harlow 1960 line, the event was taped and will air on MTV later this summer.

Nicole, 27, is due to deliver her second child in August.

Nicole wears a Gold Seven String Headband ($430).

I saw the I Heart BX top on the Clandestine website a few weeks ago and I thought it was so cute, along with the other baby clothes he has.

Mariel- most of the jewelry that i have seen is affordable…except the headbands.

anyway, Nicole should always be pregenant, it suits her. Question though: i know joel was there at the fashion but why didn’t he (ashlee too) do the red carpert like the other celebs? He has done that quite a few time in the past, but why?

They definitely have said it’s a boy. Maybe they just don’t want to announce it to the world but they do know the sex of the baby. I guess they are trying to keep it private. Nicole looks great here, she really has popped!!

April- Then Nicole flat-out lied on Larry King (where she said they have NOT found out the sex and are not going to), and I don’t think that’s something she’d do (especially since they said they were having a delivery surprise when pregnant with Harlow, which appears to have been true given the tab rumor was that she was having a boy). She even said that she “likes the surprise” or something like that on Larry King.

If they didn’t want to announce it to the world, I think she’d just have said something like, “no comment,” or “We don’t want to share that information,” when Larry asked her about it.

Oh, and before anyone says anything…I know other celebs have lied about not knowing the sex, but Nicole just doesn’t strike me as the type to do that (especially since both she and Joel seem to be very open).

April, if you’re the poster who said that you have a sister-in-law and niece in Harlow’s music class…First of all, you said that your sister-in-law was pretty sure that it wasn’t supposed to be a big secret that they’re having a boy. If that were the case, why would Nicole lie? Also, it’s possible that your sister-in-law just mis-heard (if I were in her position, I’d be so excited to have Nicole Ritchie and her daughter in my music class that I would probably be mis-hearing things all the time!) or else Nicole and Joel are just calling the baby “he” so they don’t have to call him/her “it” (some people don’t like referring to a baby that way).

Anyway, I really hope they have a girl. If they don’t, then nobody’s going to believe that they didn’t know the sex, which makes me feel bad for them (Nicole and Joel, I mean).

As a side-note: I think CBB should start mentioning in Nicole posts that the baby is a delivery surprise, in order to avoid further confusion (maybe even link back to the Larry King post the first few times).

Baby Lover, it is Los Angeles. Celebrities lie constantly. Let’s be real. I am not going to write a long drawn out response because I don’t feel the need to examine every angle. I also don’t know Nicole, so I can’t say why she doesn’t want to open up about it. When the baby is born in August, it will be a boy and I have no doubt about that. I agree with Gianna. I find it strange that you would suggest to the site how to word their posts. Maybe there is a reason why they are written as they are.

I agree with April and Gianna, they probably know the sex of their baby but so what? If they don’t wan to share the news its their prerogative, don’t give them grieve about it. Besides i think it’s a lot easier to say that they know the sex and they want the surprises, it keeps a lot of questions at bay like: name, deco pf the room, etc. Well all the questions someone could ask them.

I say it’s better to leave it be; it’s their choice.
