Safety 1st offers the new eco-friendly Nature Next Bamboo Pressure Gate ($23), which has a sustainable bamboo frame with recycled plastic panels. It extends from 28′ – 42″ and is 24″ tall. Don’t use the gate at the top of stairs or with a child that can climb over or dislodge/open the gate.

The gate was sturdy, and very easy to adjust and place into door frames. Pull the top arm up into the open unlocked position, then slide the locking pin into the slot to fit your doorway, then press the top arm into the wooden locking bar — this will secure the gate in the doorway. Make sure to place the gate so the locking mechanism is on the side of the gate that is away from your child.
