Yum! Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete Schreiber cools down with a soft-serve cone — with sprinkles! — while Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber look on during a steamy Saturday in New York City.

The too-cute toddler and his actor parents were spotted out and about in their neighborhood this weekend, strolling with 5-month-old Samuel Kai (stowed in the lower section of their Phil & Ted’s Dash!) and one of the family pups.

Sasha wears Appaman’s Jersey Tee in Orange ($34) and Converse Kids Chuck Taylor All Star 2 Strap in Black ($32).

I’ve been wondering, do they call the younger one Samuel (Sammy?) or Kai? I thought they called him Sammy but then I saw some interview where Liev mentioned him as Kai.

Mariia, just after he was born there was an interview with Naomi where she said that they were calling him Sammy, but it was kind of a baby name so they weren’t sure if they were going to keep calling him that, and then in every interview I’ve seen in the last few months he’s been referred to as Kai, so it looks like they switched. I know Naomi’s also said that they were torn between Samuel and Kai as a first name, so it doesn’t seem unlikely that they just decided to switch to Kai.

Anyway, Sasha is so cute!! This kid never fails to make me smile.

What I really notice with this family is that the baby is always tucked away on the bottom deck (great view!) of one of those strollers and the older one always in their arms. I seem to remember when Sacha was a baby he was being cuddled by his parents, even a small baby.

From other sites, I see that the Garner-Aflecks already have their baby up and part of the family.

Manon, maybe the baby gets more of the attention at home so they take Sasha out to play which is when we see them. The baby was probably asleep. The lower deck of the stroller protects him from the sun and paparazzi photos. I am sure both children get equal amounts of cuddling time with mom and dad.

Sasha’s such a doll, and can I have an ice cream cone like his? It looks good, and he obviously thinks the same, the way he’s attacking it…hehe.

michelle- I agree! And really, at 5 months-old, it’s pretty unlikely that Kai is going to care about the view (or lack thereof) from the stroller!

I agree that they probably put Kai in the bottom of the stroller to keep him away from the paparazzi, they would probably scare him and he’s still so small! Hope we get a good pic of him soon though, wonder if he’s similar to Sascha?

Karen- I agree! We saw Sasha when he was younger, but maybe Kai has a different temperment and is more scared by the paps than Sasha was when he was younger.
