Jennifer Garner Says Daughters Are Not Public Figures

Clark Kent/Startraks

As a celebrity constantly in the public eye Jennifer Garner understands that the public have little sympathy for her list of complaints, especially when it comes to being photographed by the prying paparazzi. However, add her children into the mix and the mother of two refuses to succumb to the constant hounding. ”There are almost as many video cameras as there are film cameras and the situation has shifted so that a huge amount of their focus is put on the children of celebrities,” she states in an interview with the The Vancouver Sun.

“Because my husband and I are public figures, it is assumed that our daughters are public figures, and there’s nothing to protect them.”

With a mob of photographers stationed outside her home, Jennifer and her husband Ben Affleck have found their biggest obstacle to be one which occurs every morning: the preschool run. “When we go to preschool, there are so many paparazzi there that they are knocking kids on the heads with cameras and knocking them down,” she explains. Unfortunately, according to Jennifer, the frenzy isn’t satisfied with one picture, as they often call out to 3-year-old Violet Anne.

“There are huge numbers of them — and they’re aggressive. They talk to her. They yell at her. They try to get her attention. They try to get her to react. It is a shame, shame, shame.”

Despite her constant battle with tabloids, the 37-year-old admits her life as a wife, mother, and actress is pretty sweet. “I have an incredible family and love and support at home that helps me be able to do what I do, and my kids are healthy and happy,” she says. In fact, life is so great for Jennifer that her recent cut-back on her movie roles is a decision she never regrets. “As long as there’s still work out there for me,” she says, she has no qualms about motherhood becoming her first priority.

“That’s because in this industry, you can become such a careerist and so focused on what you’re going to do next. You can lose the sense of … who you really are. For me, having a child, definitely reset that clock.”

Jen and Ben are also parents to 4-month-old Seraphina Rose Elizabeth. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is in theaters now.

Guiding Light's Marcy Rylan Embraces Dressing Her Bump

Jason Kempin/Getty

Guiding Light actress Marcy Rylan is not only excited about the baby she and boyfriend Don Money are expecting in mid-October, but also for the new wardrobe that she will experience throughout the pregnancy! “I’m totally going to build my outfits around the belly! I’m going to fully embrace the pregnant fashion,” shares the 28-year-old.

The one item that she wants to wear most? “Big, funky T-shirts and stuff like that so I won’t do all the normal maternity clothes.” Accompanying those outfits will be the towering heels that 5′ tall Marcy loves!

“I’m going to wear them until I physically am unable to anymore … I’m also looking forward to the [feet swelling] because I’m a size 5 and no one makes shoes under a size 6, so I have a really hard time [with that]. If my feet go up a size, it’ll make my life so much better!”

Baby-on-the-way is the first child for both Marcy and Don.

The Hasselbecks: Date Night!

Mike Coppola/FilmMagic

View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck toughens up a floaty frock with a denim jacket and a few baubles as she stepped out with husband Tim Hasselbeck for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Collective Consciousness Gala, held Thursday night at Tenjune in NYC.

Already mom to Grace Elisabeth, 4, and Taylor Thomas, 18 months, Elisabeth, 31, says the new baby — due in August — will be a treat for Grace, who takes her role of big sister seriously. “[She is] thrilled about another brother or sister because it’s another little tiny person in the house that she can control, I think,” Elisabeth jokes.

Gwen Stefani on the Upside of Less Sleep

GSI Media

Historically, Gwen Stefani‘s favorite aspect of touring with No Doubt was the ability to snooze the entire day away while awaiting their next show. That’s all about to change, of course, as No Doubt has embarked on a summer tour with the kids — Gwen’s sons Kingston James McGregor, 3 this month, and Zuma Nesta Rock, 8 months, Tom Dumont‘s sons Ace Joseph, 3, and Rio Atticus, 11 months, and Adrian Young‘s son Mason James, 7 — in tow.

“I think we’re gonna sleep a lot less than we ever have,” Gwen concedes. “We get to see a lot more of the country, though, [because] we’re actually leaving the hotel room.” Drummer Adrian is putting his own positive spin on the band’s new look. He jokes,

“We have a bet about the nannies. Who can score the most nannies within the band? We haven’t started it yet, but I’ll make some predictions when we’re off camera.”

Returning to the stage has been cathartic for Gwen, who plans to continue writing songs while she’s on tour. It’s a process the 39-year-old songstress likens to childbirth. “It is like having a baby, in a way, because it’s something that’s there permanently, that you created and comes through you and…I think that’s what we’re all aiming towards.”

Kingston and Zuma are Gwen’s children with husband Gavin Rossdale.

Eva Longoria Parker, Tony Parker 'Always Practicing' For a Future Family

Revolutionpix/INF

Ever since tying the knot back in 2007, the pregnancy rumors have been swirling around Eva Longoria Parker and Tony Parker. While the speculations are a common thread among the tabloids, Eva tells Valentine in the Morning that she is clueless as to the sources! “I don’t know where that is coming from,” she laughs. “I should have had triplets by now if I was pregnant!”

Although the Desperate Housewives star and her husband “can’t wait to have a family,” 34-year-old Eva is quick to come clean on any of those supposed baby bumps she has been said to be sporting, saying that she and Tony are not expecting at the moment. However, that isn’t to say that the pair haven’t been practicing!

“We’re always practicing.”

Pressured to reveal the last time they “actively tried,” Eva simply giggles and confirms Valentine’s assumption that their practicing is similar to Tony’s basketball training: several times a day.

With all that practicing, perfection may soon be right around the corner! When that time does come, Eva tells E! that she has high hopes for her little ones after dedicating her time — she is the national spokesperson – to Padres Contra El Cáncer, a charity that offers support for Latino families dealing with the disease. “Every time I work with the kids from Padres, my heart just explodes with happiness and joy because they’re so inspiring,” she says. “I could only wish to have children as strong as the kids I’ve worked with.”
