Jason Mitchell/BuzzFoto/FilmMagic

Surf’s up! Matthew McConaughey and his 10-month-old son Levi enjoy the ocean breeze as they soak up the sun, sand and waves during a day at the beach in Malibu on Wednesday.

“I’ve already got him in the water, but not on a surfboard,” the 39-year-old actor recently told E!

“It will kind of be up to him…I’m sure he’s going to want to try it out, and if he likes it, it will be something great to do every day. We’ll get him out there soon, floating around.”

Levi is Matthew’s son with model Camila Alves.

Levi wears UV Skinz Seth in Blue Tie-Dye ($29).

James Tupper: Atlas Is 'Like Having an Unreasonable Employer'

Sara Jaye Weiss/Startraks

Taking a break from daddy duty, actor James Tupper joked that parenting his 9-week-old son, Atlas, with Anne Heche has been exhausting.

“It’s a bit like having an unreasonable employer,” he told PEOPLE. “He doesn’t give breaks.” However, James admits that as babies go, Atlas is very well-behaved. “I always imagine babies crying,” he says. “He doesn’t really. He’s very sweet. He’s in a warm bath of love and attention.”

From the sounds of it, Atlas will soon be living up to his name: NBC announced that it’s ordering more episodes of Tupper’s pilot Mercy, a medical dramedy (also starring Taylor Schilling, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Jamie Lee Kirchner), which will film in New York.

“He will be a bicoastal baby,” says James, who adds that the double blessing of a blossoming family and a new TV series “is like being awake in a dream.”

So, how does Anne feel about her partner going bicoastal? “She’s taking it a day at a time,” he says.

In the meantime, she’s got a full – and musical – home. James, who plays the guitar, surprised Anne on Mother’s Day. “I bought Anne an upright piano, and some lessons,” the actor says. “Her dad was a piano player. She plays, and I got her some lessons.”

Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany's School Run

Freddie Baez/Startraks

Paul Bettany, Jennifer Connelly and their boys — Kai, 11 ½, and Stellan, 5 ½ — were snapped strolling home from school on a sunny Tuesday afternoon in the Big Apple.

The couple are back in Manhattan — in Tribeca — after selling their Park Slope townhouse in Brooklyn late last year. The reason for the move?

“It had to do with the shape of the house, which was very vertical,” Paul explained, noting that there’s a lot of yeling back and forth. “I think five floors are just ridiculous with children.”

Kai’s father is photographer David Dugan.

Kate Winslet: 'I Rule the Roost'

Splash News Online

The days of Kate Winslet and family dividing their time between her native England and the United States may be drawing to a close. In the June issue of Marie Claire UK, the 33-year-old actress reveals that a move is on the horizon. “Mum would hate this if she read it, but our parents are getting on now,” she explains. “Sam said to me not long ago that we really need to try to find a way to be more consistently in England.” While Sam might be the driving force, Kate says that it is often she who handles the day-to-day of their household. “I really rule the roost,” she boasts. “I absolutely steer the ship.”

“[I'm] constantly making checklists; you know, library books have to go in on Friday, make sure that one day a week they’re [the children] not having bread for lunch.”

Kate goes on to say that her famed potty mouth has been tamed by 8 ½-year-old Mia Honey and 5-year-old Joe Alfie. “I look back and think, ‘Oh my God,’” she admits. “F-ck, bollocks, sh-t… it all came out a million times [in interviews].”

“Just too much. Probably nerves. I still swear now, of course, but I’ve got kids.”

Mia is Kate’s daughter with ex-husband Jim Threapleton; Joe is her son with husband Sam Mendes.

Alison Sweeney on Preparing Ben For His Little Sister

Alison Dyer for PEOPLE for use on CBB

Like most parents, Alison Sweeney wasn’t sure how son Benjamin Edward, 4, would react to becoming an older brother, so she and husband Dave Sanov tried their best to prepare him for Megan Hope‘s arrival four months ago. “We really pumped him up leading up to it,” Alison explains. However, the couple did got him ready “the same way we did to him when we took him to the dentist for the first time” and Alison admits that she ended up feeling guilty then. “Dave and I pumped him up for a month beforehand, how cool it was that Mom and Dad got to go the dentist. And then I felt a little guilty ’cause it totally worked. When he was in the waiting room and they called his name, he was like [excitedly], ‘It’s my turn!’ We felt so mean.”

After realizing that they were repeating themselves while preparing Ben for Megan’s birth, Alison and Dave “just sort of built it up, like, ‘You’re the big brother, you’re going to be in charge and get to teach her fun things.’” The couple are also careful not to “force him to love her,” instead “we say things like, ‘She loves you so much. She’s so proud to have you as a big brother’” and the actress is happy to share that “he’s been so responsive.”

“He kisses her all the time and makes faces to make her laugh. One of my favorite things about Ben’s personality is that he’s an entertainer, not in a public, showy way; he just wants to make people laugh.”

There is no way to know if Megan will have her brother’s personality, but one thing is for sure — the look alike! “She looks a lot like Ben … but in a feminine way,” notes Alison. “I’m sure I’m totally biased, but I see that they resemble each other tremendously.” The Biggest Loser host is happy with her life and and shares that it “surprises people” when they learn and she and Dave will celebrate their ninth wedding anniversary in July. “We definitely got married young and had kids young and it’s what was right for us,” says Alison. “We love driving in our family car with our kids in the backseat. We’ll look at each other and say, ‘Look, our family is in the car.’ It’s such a satisfying, happy, fulfilling feeling.”
