Diego Luna Says Love For Son is Indescribable

JC Olivera/JPI

Much like many first-time parents, when Diego Luna announced that his wife, actress Camila Sodi was expecting the couple’s first child, the pair were met with warm wishes and insight into the love they would soon experience. While appreciative of everyone’s support, Diego was in for quite a surprise when he welcomed his son Jerónimo! “It’s a love that people tell you about. You read about it. You think you know what it is. You think you know how it’s going to feel,” he explains to PARADE.

“And then, phew, when it happens, you realize there’s no way to predict this. It’s so unique, so perfect.”

Calling fatherhood the “biggest change you go through in life” — clarifying “at least that I’ve gone through in life” — 29-year-old Diego admits to not knowing where his journey will take him. “I don’t know if something else is coming,” he says. However, despite the uncertainty, he is simply content to enjoy the “amazing” love for his son as he looks to the future. “It’s a very special thing that now you’re going to have forever,” he notes of his feelings for Jerónimo.

As he makes the rounds to promote his new movie Rudo y Cursi, time spent away from Camila and 9-month-old Jerónimo is inevitable for Diego. Fortunately, “a reminder” of his son is never far, as the actor laughs he always takes a small piece of baby boy along for the ride!

“I have a little spit up on my shoulder or a spot of carrot puree on my pants. There’s toys everywhere. So he’s with me everywhere.”

Rudo y Cursi is in select theaters.

Alison Sweeney Felt 'Committed' to Losing Weight

Alison Dyer for PEOPLE for use on CBB

It’s hard to make time to exercise while chasing after two small children, but after giving birth in January, Alison Sweeney felt like she had to. Why? The host of The Biggest Loser felt a responsibility towards the show’s contestants.

“People ask me why I was so committed to losing weight after Megan was born and why I wanted to do it quickly,” explains Alison. “I felt that I owed it to the contestants, to every person that stood on that scale next to me and given it everything they had all week long to get there. I owed it to them to show them I honored what they did and how brave they are and I wanted to be a part of that.”

The show taught Alison “that you are worth it. You’re a role model now, so spending time on yourself to get healthy, spending time to go to the gym, is actually the best gift you can give your kids.” Alison recommends “cooking at home more often and [packing] snacks with you. The first step you can take to cut out unwanted calories is to make sure you know what you’re eating and putting it in the food yourself.”

The Days Of Our Lives actress and her husband, Dave Sanov, are also parents to son Benjamin Edward, 4.

Liv Tyler Longs For Peaceful Preschool Runs

Ramey

Life for Liv Tyler is never boring. “I go through phases,” she tells Times Online of her acting gigs. In recent years, those same phases have been a bit sidelined as Liv has been busy: the 31-year-old welcomed her first child, son Milo William back in 2004. “When I got married and I had Milo, I wanted to nest and have a family in a way that I’d always dreamt of doing,” she explains.

Enjoying her life as she finds a balance in being a hands-on working mom, Liv starts off each morning in the company of her little boy. With an early bird in the house, Liv laughs that she is in no need of an alarm clock! “Milo wakes up every morning at 5:30 or 6 — ping! — and so the hardest thing is the lack of sleep,” she says.

Although she makes an effort to be in bed before midnight in order to catch at least six hours of sleep, the tired mama still tries to squeeze in a few extra minutes come morning before heading to the kitchen to make breakfast.

“I beg Milo to try and snooze for 30 more minutes! Of course, when they’re up, they’re up.”

As the day goes on, the morning routine doesn’t become any easier — after breakfast comes the dreaded preschool run. With paparazzi lurking outside Milo’s school on a daily basis, Liv often finds it difficult to keep her attention focused on the broader picture and can’t help but question her casual, morning ensembles: a coat thrown over her pajamas. “It’s so hard because I don’t want to think about what I’m wearing when I’m taking him to school,” she says. “I want to get him to school safely, then do whatever I have to do.”

Milo, 4, is Liv’s son with estranged husband Royston Langdon.

Melora Hardin and Girls: Sunny Smiles

CelebrityPhoto

Having finished up her Chicago run on Broadway, Melora Hardin steps out for the premiere of her film You, which Melora’s husband Gildart Jackson wrote and Melora herself directs.

Posing with daughters Rory Melora, 7 ½, and Piper Quincy, 4, the former Office star shared the film was shot in 18 days.

“Originally, we thought we were going to raise money [to get it filmed]; then we decided to make it ourselves,” she explains. “It was a family affair, made about a family by a family: Our kids, my parents and our friends are all in it. We were scrambling eggs in our kitchen for the crew while getting our makeup done.”
