Expectant mom Kelly Rutherford walks tall and keeps a smile on her face Tuesday as she arrives at a Los Angeles courthouse to continue her divorce battle with estranged husband Daniel Giersch.
The Gossip Girl star is due to give birth to her second child, a girl, in three weeks. She and Daniel also have a son, Hermés Gustaf Daniel, 2 ½.

Life’s a beach for Michael Douglas and family. They call the island of Bermuda home, for it offers a little something for everyone; For Michael, 64, it represents a connection to his own mom’s Bermudian roots and for wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, the tiny British colony offers a taste of home. However for the couple’s two children Dylan Michael, 8 ½, and Carys Zeta, 6 — both of whom attend schools there — it serves as a safe haven from the trappings of fame. Michael notes,
“It creates an environment for us away from the entertainment business, and gives our kids independence and freedom where showbiz isn’t on everybody’s lips. It’s a lovely, lovely place.”
Although he’s quickly approaching what many consider retirement age, Michael has no plans to slow down. What’s more, he feels that being an older dad gives him an advantage because he is better able to see what’s truly important in life. “I have the attention, the time, the priority,” he says. “This is not a business that you can balance your family life with your professional life.”
“Most people have a nine-to-five job and they work five days a week. Sometimes they have the summer off. This is a job where you’re gone for long periods of time. When your priority becomes family first, you really get to enjoy and savor these incredible years of super-fast growing spurts. It’s a bond that’s magical.”
It’s also a bond that Michael won’t break by interfering with the kids’ career paths, whatever they someday turn out to be. “I don’t think you have a lot of control over what your children decide to do,” he explains. “Either encouraging or discouraging – that’s certainly the life they’re familiar with and the life they know.” While it “wouldn’t surprise” Michael if the kids do follow suit and pursue acting, at the same time “they’ll see the pitfalls and the great advantages.”
“It is a gypsy life. I’ll support my children in whatever they decide to do.”
Michael is also dad to Cameron, 30, with ex-wife Diandra Luker.

Soon-to-be big sister Brionne is quickly learning the meaning of long distance phone calls! With her mom LaKisha Jones — who is due in August with her second child — off promoting her new album So Glad I’m Me, the 6-year-old is not only missing her mama, but her unborn baby sister as well. Revealing to PopEater that baby-on-the-way is a girl, LaKisha says her daughter is simply thrilled with the news — so much so, that when it comes to their frequent phone calls, Brionne’s vote is to talk to baby!
“So our thing is … I put the phone on my stomach and she’s like, ‘Oh hi Avie,’ because the baby’s name is going to be Ava, and she’s like, ‘I’ll see you when … you come back with mommy.’”
Despite her rise to stardom after placing fourth on the hit show American Idol, the 29-year-old says she is no celebrity! “I’m just LaKisha, the young lady who had a dream of singing and who was presented the opportunity [to do so],” she says. That said, LaKisha admits the balancing act of raising her family, while maintaining her career is “definitely a juggle.” Her advice to fellow mamas? Take it slow!
“I just take it one day at a time and try to pace myself.”

For Wanda Sykes — who recently welcomed twins Olivia Lou and Lucas Claude, 3-weeks – life has been forever changed. “I realized that I don’t matter for sh-t,” the 45-year-old comedian tells Extra! “Basically, I don’t matter…It just puts everything in perspective.”
Of course, the new eyes with which she views the world are eyes which are droopy with fatigue! When asked whether she’s gotten any sleep since the twins arrived, Wanda replies,
“Not at all. I’m napping right now. I’m sure I have some baby poo on me somewhere.”
Speaking of the latter, diaper changes pose a continual challenge. “They’re peeing on me,” Wanda explains. “The little boy…I know I have to put a towel or something over top, but as soon as I put it on, he pees.” Joking that “it’s like the carnival…he’s after me,” Wanda adds that the twins “are great.” As for whether or not she plans to add to her family with wife Alex, Wanda laughs,
“I would love for them to have an older brother.”

Get ready for a red hot summer! With the sun shining and the warm weather upon us, celebrities have been busy breaking out the summer shoes. From what we can tell, this season the styles will be particularly hot — the stars are seeing red!
So who exactly has been out and about sporting the flaming color? We’ve seen little Ava Eliot Jackman who showed off her Converse Girls Chuck Taylor All Star Party ($21) shoes while visiting Disneyland with dad Hugh Jackman and family, actress Marcia Cross having a bit of fountain fun with daughter Savannah Mahoney sporting Superga Classics with Velcro ($45) and expectant mama Nicole Richie out with Harlow Madden, who wore See Kai Run smaller shoes in their Monica style ($32). And we can’t forget Suri Cruise who loves her pair of Nordstrom’s Bella Ballet Flats in Candy Red!
We’ve spotted a variety of shoe styles over the past few months, but with summer right around the corner, we’re concentrating on red hot sandals. While we haven’t seen many boys jumping on the bandwagon, you’ll find some great styles for them here too!
