Stephen Joseph Snack Sacs: Cute Lunch Packs For Little Monkey

Stephen Joseph’s Snack Sacs ($15) are insulated, nylon lunch bags that come with cute note cards for a note from Mom. The notes in the monkey sac say “I go bananas for you” and “You’re the best of the bunch!”

The animals’ ears, tails and legs are all 3-dimensional and there’s a shoulder strap inside. What a cute way to bring your lunch!

Stephen also makes matching backpacks. They big enough to hold a water bottle and the snack sac.

They have awful customer service and their normal lunch boxes (the square shaped traditional ones) are very low quality. Ours was in the trash after 12 months of use. It was used by an INFANT– so it wasn’t abused. I carried it to and from the sitters each day. That’s it.

I wouldn’t buy their products at all.

By the time the kids are old enough to read the cards, they will be too old for a monkey lunch box. The design seems more appropriate for pre-school age then school age.

My son received this monkey bag for his monkey-themed birthday and the quality was very poor! I don’t recommend spending any money on these bags!

Wal-mart has an identical monkey lunchbox there for $5 and has lasted wonderfully.

My daughter carried the ladybug style through 2nd grade. She could read the cards and it outlasted her. I had her name embroidered on it, too. So cute. We’re going to put it in her memory box.

I agree about the poor quality. I bought the ladybug backpack for my little girl in K. It’s about to go in the trash. The hanging loop on the top is all cracked and broken, it’s an odd size (doesn’t fit a standard folder) and looks horrible after being used for a school year. We really didn’t even carry anything in it, she has no real/heavy schoolbooks yet. I was sold on how cute it was, but would never recommend it to anyone and wish I’d read some reviews before I bought it. Buyer beware!
