For the Car-Buff Dad: Crap Cars

05/29/2009 at 07:30 AM ET

Men can be so difficult to shop for which makes Father’s Day especially challenging. Besides the cute projects your kids will undoubtedly bring home from school, we’ve pulled together some great options for you to get for dear old Dad — yours or your children’s! If you miss one, visit our Father’s Day Gift Guide category.

Suitable for both dads who are into cars and those who have owned some jalopies, Crap Cars ($15) is sure to please. The book highlights “the cheapest, the tackiest, and the most mechanically inept” models, including those from manufacturers like Porsche, BMW, Renault and Rolls-Royce. Available at CatchingFireflies.com.

And perhaps pair the book with a sports car. Well, a mouse that looks like a sports car! Check out RoadMice.com, a line of wired and wireless optical computer mice shaped like today’s hottest high-end automobiles like the Ford GT or Dodge Viper SRT10. Compatible with both Mac and PC desktops and/or laptops, Road Mice are $33 for wired and $45.95 for wireless versions plus save 10% with coupon code RMFDP10 through 7/31/09.

i am so excited, i just bought this book. they are out of stock on the site provided so i had to go somewhere else to purchase it. my dad always fixed our cars when we were teens, i am sure my first car will be in the book. :) i can’t wait to send it to him for father’s day!

i got the book in & i liked it but i thought it would be more of a coffee table book in size. it is much smaller than i anticipated. it was still worth what i paid for it.
