Carrying her little man, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz leaves the Children’s Museum of Manhattan on Thursday with 6-month-old Bronx Mowgli and husband Pete Wentz (not pictured).

After spending most of the week in the Big Apple to promote Melrose Place at the CW Upfronts, Ashlee, 24, tweeted, “This week was AWESOME. Melrose is official. YES! Parks and zoos and [Bronx] saying dada was the best!”

Bronx wears Junk Food’s Spiderman Don’t Bug Me t-shirt ($24) and Shrnk Boy’s Knit Cargo Pants in black ($30).

Aw…. I think Bronx is adorable and I think Ashlee looks absolutly stunning! They must be so proud that Bronx said “Dada!” The only thing about this picture is unlike Nicole Richie, and such she doesn’t have that new mother glow but I probobly would not have that new mother glow if 10 cameras were in my face!

I want to know how she lost her baby weight… I saw her on E! News promoting Melrose and she looks sooo skinny! How do they do that?! I’m STILL trying to lose baby weight and my youngin turned 1 yesterday!!! PS that baby is adorable!

I’m not trying to say this to be mean, but doesn’t a 6 month old saying “dada” not really mean anything? Aren’t kids a lot older before they attach meaning to their babbles to form the “first words” (like, 11-13 months or something)? My almost 4 month old makes a sound that sounds just like mooooom when he’s mad, but I’m not going to go write down in the baby book that mom was his first word because he doesn’t associate it with me yet. Maybe Ashley wasn’t trying to infer that “dad” was Bronx’s first word though…I dunno.

Either way, it’s a very sweet picture of the two of them!

I think he’s absolutely adorable! I’ve always been a fan of Ashlee’s and I can’t get over (in a good way)the fact that she’s a mom! Bronx is the spitting image of her, with the exception of I think his eye shape and is absolutely adorable! He’s quite a cutie.

I just love Ashlee. I get so excited seeing young moms on here. It is very refreshing! I was 22 when I had my lil boy and 23 when I had my daughter. I am 24 now and just loving being young and a mother.

MZ, my little cousin made a sound that sounded a lot like “hand” when he was 6/7 months. Did he know what he was saying? Probably not. Did that stop us from all being excited? Not a chance.
So what if it has no real relevance, it’s still something new. Especially when they are first time parents. Of course they are going to make a big thing out of it, and anyway, she never said it was his first word.

I may be in the minority here, but I think he looks a lot like Pete.

#12 – my youngest two were talking in full sentences by 13 months. My youngest said Dijah (trying to say Elijah – her brother) at 7 months and she definitely knew what she was saying.

#29 – do you even know what a hemangioma is? Trust me, you’d be able to tell if he had one. His lips are just like that because of the way his baby chub is squished up. He looks perfectly normal to me.
