Expectant Big Brother host Julie Chen shows off her growing belly while stepping out with her husband, CBS President Les Moonves, for the 2009 CBS Upfronts, held Wednesday in New York City.

Due October 4th, the new arrival will join Les’ three adult children from a previous marriage – Adam, Michael and Sara.

Julie, 39, who also appears on The Early Show, says the baby won’t affect her reality-show hosting duties: “I e-mailed my boss … and I said, ‘Don’t worry. I can still do the show!’”

Yeah…and I thought the same when I was pregnant….that I would go back to work! It all changed once I held that sweet baby! I’ve been a sahm now for 14 years : )You never know how you will feel until you give birth.

Is the “boss” she is refering to her husband? I keep seeing this quote (about sending an email to her boss) and I was wondering if it was an inside joke?

BB is a CBS show so its possible lol

The boss she’s referring to is most likely Big Brother EP Allison Grodner.

I absolutly HATE it when people refer to their children in this manner like “Don’t worry. My unborn child won’t even put a dent in my work life.” It’s so sad.

Mom Said It

"It helps that other moms had said that once they had their babies, they forgot they were ever pregnant. So once my focus became the baby and not the pregnancy, it was a very easy decision."
