Whee! A one-shoed Stella Doreen McDermott flies high — and shows off some new teeth! — at an event honoring mom Tori Spelling last Wednesday night at Kitson.

Celebrating the family’s cover of Cookie magazine, the new season of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood — it premieres May 26th at 10 p.m. on Oxygen — and Tori’s latest book, Mommywood, the Los Angeles store hosted a get-together and book-signing for friends and fans.

cute family! I love Stella’s shoes! I know people may lash back at me, but I’m just gonna say it… I just do not like how skinny and unhealthy Tori is lately. I wouldn’t be saying this if Tori had always been this skinny. I know she was slim before the babies, but she was never this unhealthy looking. I think she needs help.

Oh my goodness….Stella looks so cute! I just love those shoes she has on….and I love little Liam’s mohawk! So adorable!! Dlock, I don’t think anyone is going to give you a hard time with what you said about Tori….it’s just been discussed several times before. If Tori’s happy and says she’s healthy, then I say more power to her! Everyone has a weight they are comfortable with. If she’s happy with it, then I think we should all be happy for her.

I don’t think Anna said anything wrong. The truth is they do explot the kids in order to have a fan base (the Moms) that will watch their reality show. I personally would do everything in my power to shield my children from the media. You don’t see Tom Hanks, Sean Penn, etc much in the media with their kids. Their cute kids but keep them home once in a while Tori.

Wow, I don’t normally say anything on these message boards, but every time I look on the comments about Tori Spelling I see at least one or two people writing the meanest things about her exploiting her children….do you not know what website you are on?? It’s called celebrity-babies! This whole website is dedicated to celebrities and their children! She is not the only celebrity out there who is in the public eye with their children, if she was this website would not exist!

It seems to me that when we see pics of Tori and her kids, it’s because they’re dragging them out to events. When we see pics of the Jolie-Pitt kids, Heidi and Seal’s kids, or the Garner-Afflecks, they are shots taken by paparazzi as they try to go about their everyday life. They are not deliberately putting their kids into the line of fire from the paps. Big difference.

I love how Tori & Dean stay together for everything! She hates to be away from her children so they go with her – I think it’s great. They really seem very happy together. It’s sad that her mother is missing out with her grandchildren but that’s the bed she made nd has to lvie in it now!

lol stella looks like she is having a ball.tori says(and she updated her myspace with a blog about the past month yesterday including running into seal & heidi and kids at dinner-tori said heidi looked stunning with her bump) in mommywood that they mostly go to kids events these days so the kids can be with them and have a good time.more notably, the book is ABOUT HER KIDS so yeah, having them at a signing is not unusual.

on top of that,apparently liam loves this stuff-cameras and people and lights-tori says both kids are well socialised from the show and liam in particular gets a kick out of it all(most of the time!) patsy their nanny was there too btw-i saw a pic of t&stella entering the event with pats behind them.she is like family to them all.

i am reading mommywood again for like the third time or something-there’s some great stories,like being starstruck talking nursing with kate winslet,or chatting to gwen stefani and zuma at diddy’s twins birthday party.it was a smallish event but apparently kim porter invited them as she is a huge fan of their show.

Do you have any idea how ridiculous it sounds to call someone jealous just because they express disagreement with one thing a celebrity does? Not to mention how childish it sounds. I don’t see anything about Dlock’s statement that makes her look jealous, especially considering that DLOCK also praised the family in her comment. It’s truly amazing to me to see how many people there are who are completely unwilling to admit that celebrities aren’t perfect. And I’m trully stunned that you’re naive enough to believe that just because Tori said she’s healthy that it automatically means she is. People who have eating disorders often deny them for years before getting help.

The difference is that Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Garner,Gwen Stefani, Heidi Klum etc etc do not have a reality show! When they are photographed they are just going to school or to a store. They don’t take their children to events or on TV or write books about them.

Angi- Actually, Jennifer and Ben have never sold pictures of their girls. Gwen and Gavin only sold the first photos of Kingston. With Zuma, she posted a photo taken by her dad on her own website.

As for Angelina and BRAD (I put his name in all caps for a reason. People seem to forget that he was probably just as involved in the decision to sell the baby photos as Angelina was), in their case, I think it was truly neccesary to sell the first photos of Shi, the twins, and Pax to PEOPLE.

Had they not done that, especially with Shi and the twins, the sad fact is that the paps would have probably gone nuts trying to get that first photo, and someone could have gotten hurt (all you have to do is read celeb interviews such as the recent one if Jen Garner’s in which she said that the paps have been literally pushing around and knocking over kids at Violet’s preschool just to try to get photos of Violet that the paps don’t care about people’s safety!).

Anyway, I agree with Shannon! I also want to point out that the Jolie-Pitts, at least, do not complain about the pap attention (I don’t really know about the other families). Brad has simply expressed the fact that he wishes the paps could use long lenses instead of getting right up in the kids’ faces and scareing them (Zahara in particular is afraid of the paps), and basically made it clear that the paps are indeed a pain. However, he and Angie DO both seem to acknowledge that it just, unfourtnately, goes with the territory.

Bottom line: The rest of us are allowed to complain about the aspects of our jobs that we don’t like. Why shouldn’t celebs be allowed to do the same?

Thanks Rebecca, I couldn’t have said it better than myself! Jax, I’m not jealous of anyone. I love my life and especially myself. I don’t wish to be something that I”m not. I don’t wish to be so skinny and “unhealthy” looking just to fit into “celebrity world” because thats what mainstream says one should look like. I don’t wish to be feuding with my mom publicy (just for publicity). I think Tori from what I see and read about her, is a ok person and I like her family. But that has nothing to do with the fact that Tori is clearly not healthy. I remember what Tori looked like back in the day, and she was never this small! She looks sick!
I may not have all the fame and fortune, but I am completely happy with where I am in life.
And name calling, really??!! Jax, grow up.
Its a shame when people can’t voice their opinions w/out being crapped all over.

If you are a celebrity, who makes millions of dollars, having your child’s picture taken for a magazine is NEVER necessary. It is a choice, plain and simple.

A least Tori admits that having her family seen is part of her normal. Truthfully, if you are rich and famous you life will never be what we consider normal. Angelina and Brad brought it on themselves. They court the press non-stop, but complain when their are pictures of the kids everywhere. Sorry, but they do not get my sympathies.

Angi, how do they court the press? The kids have been barely seen for well over a year. The youngest kids are 10 months old and they’ve been caught by the paparazzi exactly once in their entire lives. It doesn’t really seem like a couple who wanted more fame and attention for their kids would keep them that well insulated from photographers!

It is a choice, plain and simple.

Right, and they made the choice to donate the entire sum to charity. Great choice on their part, I say!

Sophy- I agree! As for the choice they made, you are right about it being a choice, Angi. Angelina has even addressed that they had the choice of selling the first photos or letting the paps get them, and they chose to sell the pictures and have the money go to a good cause rather than letting some pap get rich on the first photos of their babies.

Also, to Angi- Angelina and Brad complain about the PAPS, not about their kids’ photos being everywhere. They just wish the paps would use long lenses rather than getting right up in their kids’ faces and scaring them, and don’t like the fact that the paps scare Zee in particular. However, it DOES seem like they realize it comes with the package. Like I said before, why shouldn’t they be allowed to complain about the aspect of their job that they don’t like?

I love this family! Liam is all spelling!! About Tori’s weight, I agree if anyone was a 90210 fan like me, she was stick thin about their junior year of college. I don’t think she has an eating disorder. She may need 5 pounds added, but she looks fine not abnormal for her. As for their kids being in the spotlight, it’s their choice. They do have a reality show for crying out loud. If you haven’t watched it, I reccomend that you do, it’s hilarious!!! They are very down to earth normal people

For those of you who have such mean things to say about Ms. Spelling, what gives you the right to judge her weight, her life, how she allows her children to be photographed or not? This is the business of her and her husband. I for one thinks she looks great and am always glad to see photos of her with her children. Everyone knows how much she wanted to be a Mommy and I think she does a wonderful job. I suppose if you never saw her with her kids then you would judge her and say she’s a bad parent because she’s never with her kids. She can’t please everyone so why don’t you lay off and stop judging.
