Michelle Williams and Matilda Cuddle Close

Leaning in close to mom — and playing with the buttons on her jacket — Matilda Rose Ledger hitches a ride with Michelle Williams while out in Brooklyn on Saturday.

Along for the walk was Michelle’s mom, Carla, who’s currently visiting from out of state, and a friend. The group stopped by a coffee shop for some java before continuing on their stroll.

Matilda, 3 ½, is Michelle’s only child with the late Heath Ledger.

Whenever I see this beautiful little girl it makes me so sad. Her daddy loved her so much, I hope that she is told that every single day. She is so precious and looks like she would be a sweet child.

she looks so cute and sweet. Is bittersweet, so sad that she misses out on her daddy as she grows up, looks so much like him, esp when it was sadly avoidable if not for a tragic, accidental overdose, wasn’t llike he was dying of a terminal illness etc, but not criticising, just the sad situation/facts as it turned out. He misses out on so much after being a doting dad from what was in the media. Her mum looks so devoted to her, very caring and protective, and looking out for her daughter’s best interests. Shows a younger mum can be a great mum, seems very mature and ‘together’. Good on them. I hope Michelle’s partner helps to ease the pain, am sure he’s some happiness in both of their lives, and a friend or even a bit of a father figure for Matila, although he can’t and may not want to, ever replace him of course.

Matilda will forever be known as the legacy of Heath Ledger and a very beautiful one at that, too. She is the spitting image of him, and probably a huge consolation to his family and to Michelle. I wonder if Heath was the love of her life?
