Jerry O'Connell Stops to Smell the Flowers

Sean O’Neill/INF

With two brand new daughters and two busy careers, Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn are no doubt stretched to their limits. If the pressure is getting to them, however, it isn’t showing. “‘Sure, we’re busy, but we’re also taking the time to take it all in — to stop and smell the roses and the tulips, if you will,” Jerry tells the Chicago Sun-Times, in a nod to daughters Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, 4-months.

In his new film Baby on Board, Jerry portrays a cad caught cheating just as his wife learns she is pregnant. “The funny thing is — we learned about Rebecca’s pregnancy around the time I was shooting [the film], so maybe there’s a bit of karma there,” he jokes. He’s quick to point out, however, that all similarities end there!

”If I was anything like the character I played in this movie, I probably wouldn’t be sitting here as a happy father of twin girls right now. My point is, that [fictional] couple is nothing like my wife and me. Rebecca really wanted a child — and having twins is just a bonus.”

One thing is for certain: The girls won’t be seeing Baby on Board anytime soon! “Given the language and situations in [the film], I’d say they will have to be well into college before I let them see it,” Jerry, 35, says.

Baby on Board will be available on DVD next month.

I love him. Jerry seems like such a nice guy, and a great father/husband. I really think he and Rebecca will make it, one of the few celebrity couples who does

I still think of him as the fat, little kid in “Stand by me” and while I have no real opinion on his career now (or his wife’s), I always enjoy his quotes here. He seems to know his luck in life:)

Do you know what kind of stroller that is?
