A love of entertaining is in the blood for 6-year-old Carys Zeta and 8 ½-year-old Dylan Michael Douglas. During a recent visit to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, actor Michael Douglas revealed that creativity is freely flowing from his two children with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. Carys is into Mama Mia and Abba, which is “so great and cute,” Michael, 64, says. Some of her dance moves leave dad nervous about what awaits him in the years to come, however. “She takes dance classes,” Michael explains. “She’s six, but she [already] has the hip action.”
“I’m looking at my 6-year-old, going ’Cha-cha!’…Really shaking it pretty good…And I’m going, ‘Man, I thought this happens like 10 years from now.’”
Dylan, on the other hand, is currently dividing his time between two famous entertainers. “He has a Charlie Chaplin routine, although he’s never seen Charlie Chaplin,” Michael reveals. “And his latest is, he’ll come sliding into the house and [announce] ‘Elvis is in the building!”
“He loves ‘Hound Dog,’ and he’s gotten pretty good on all the old songs.”
When asked by host Jay Leno how the kids wound up this way, Michael smiled and observed, ”We’re just one of those families, I guess.”
