Jaime Pressley and Dezi Have a Whale of a Time!

Happy second birthday Dezi James! To celebrate her son turning two yesterday, Jaime Pressly proved she’s a hands-on mom in more ways than one – taking Dezi for a close encounter with Ferdinand, a beluga whale, at SeaWorld in San Diego on Sunday.

Dad is Jaime’s ex-fiancé, Eric ‘DJ Cubiche’ Calvo.

oh, look, it’s Ferdinand !!!
How much I love him !
He used to be in my hometown’s zoo and we visited him every year on one of my sons’ birthday and the always got to feed him and sit in a boat pulled by him. One of my sons even dared to be kissed by Ferdinand.

Oh, how sad we were, when he left our zoo, but how glad at the same time, as he couldn’t be accomodated well.

So good to see him alive and kissing !

All the best for you, whalean buddy and happy 40th !!!!

This is cute!

Does anyone know if it costs extra to go and see the animals so up close like that? Or is it just special treatment for a celebrity? I’ve only seen celebrities do this so that’s why Im asking..

Anyone know?

If you go to Sea World’s website, there are different things listed under the animal interaction. The interaction that includes the whales is the Wild Arctic Interaction Program. It is about $170 per person and SO worth it. My husband and I did it last year and got to get into the water with the whales wearing Sea World wetsuits. It was AWESOME!

Gee, and to think of it, over here in Duisburg it only cost the regular entry fee and nothing more to meet sweet Ferdinand (who can sing like a canary and is quite a clown).

As I said, we were very sad when he left but happy at the same time, since his accomodation wasn’t appropriate at all.
Oh what a suprise to see him again… and here of all places !

Wishing him many happy years more !

That whale is gorgeous! At first, I thought it was a statue.

It’s nice to see a celebrity who isn’t doing the big ostentatious party thing. If she chose simply to spend the day with her son doing something that they both love to do, it shows that she thinks of her son as a person and not as a photo op!
