Alison Sweeney Says Ben Loves Big Brotherhood

During a Monday visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, actress and television host Alison Sweeney revealed that her 4-year-old son Benjamin Edward continues to dote on his baby sister Megan Hope, 4 months. “He is such a good big brother,” she raved. “He’s so funny, he loves to pet her hair.”

“He calls her cutie pie and Megady Wegady. We’ve done pretty well at making him feel really confident about it, letting him know that he’s in charge. He’s the big brother and he has to look out for her. He loves it.”

As for her labor with Megan, Alison said it was “surprisingly eventful,” but clarified that it did not begin during her last appearance on the show. The 32-year-old Days of Our Lives star had pretended to experience some contractions as host Ellen DeGeneres cut away for a different segment, and her performance left many fooled! “My mom called me and asked, ‘Where are you? Are you okay?” Alison recalled with a laugh. “It was on the Internet that I’d actually been taken to the hospital…I was like, ‘It was a joke…Come on, people!”

Ben and Megan are Alison’s children with husband Dave Sanov.
