Ana Ortiz Shines in Satin

Attending at Ugly Betty event on April 29th, Ana Ortiz went short and satiny while posing on the red carpet at the Paley Center in New York City.

Expecting a daughter in late July, the actress recently celebrated her baby shower — checked out all the details and photos here!

What are Ana and husband Noah Lebenzon going to name their baby girl? Not sure yet, Ana, 38, explains.“We have a short list I’m going to walk into the hospital with. And then I figure when I see her, [we’ll know],” she says. “I have my favorite. My husband has his favorite. He gets the last name so I get the first name. I feel like that’s fair.”

To all those conspiracy theorists who still hang on Katie never having been pregnant or wearing a pad based on the whole positioning of her belly in photographs … note the positioning of that photo of Ana, that’s a little o.O

All said, I think she looks gorgeous.

wow she looks incredible you would hardly know she was pregnant!

Thats the weirdest “bump” photo I have ever seen…

- Amanda on

I totally agree Amanda. That doesn’t look like a baby bump. Looks like something else is under there.

What’s going on in this picture? That doesn’t look anything like a pregnant belly to me.

- fergette on

She looks great in that picture!

I think why her bump looks so weird is because of how shiny her shirt is and how it’s hanging. That bulge on her right side is accentuated by the angle she’s standing in. I agree it does look a little weird, but I do love her outfit.

ana looks lovely

In an earlier post, Ana said she liked the name Ramona after her grandmother. Ramona Lebenzon, its kind of cute.

- chowchowpug on

Ramona Lebenzon? So no possibility she could give her child her name then? 2009 anyone?

I can’t make head nor tail of that bump but she looks wonderful.

It’s just the shirt. If you go to gettyimages.com and search for “Ana Ortiz,” you’ll see pictures from that night from different angles. Her bump is totally normal.

ellen- Relax. No one is saying Anna won’t give her daughter her last name. People are simply assuming that the baby will have her husband’s last name as that is what usually happens. Also, keep in mind that Ana may very well go by the name Ana Lebenzon in her personal life. It seems that a lot of celeb women take their husband’s name for their every day life, but keep using their maiden name as their stage-name.

That makes sense to me, as suddenly having a different professional name than the one you’ve had for years can be very confusing: both for the celeb and the media (case in point: Ashlee Simpson changed her professional last name to Simpson-Wentz when she and Pete got married, but quite a few media outlets STILL refer to her as “Ashlee Simpson”….and it’s now been over a year since she and Pete got married!).

“‘He gets the last name so I get the first name.’”
I assume this means that the baby’s last name will be Lebenzon. And Ellen, Ortiz has said in other interviews that she would like to give the baby a Hispanic first name to reflect her culture since the baby will have her husband’s last name. I don’t see what isn’t “2009″ about that. The baby will have one name from her mother and one name from her father.

Her baby bump is totally cute compared to the pic of Katie Holmes one pregnancy pic! Have you ever seen that? She looked liked she was hiding literally a basketball under her shirt!!!
