Jennifer Garner: 'I Have It Easier Than Most' Working Moms

Francis Specker /Landov

Although many actresses lament the challenges of combining their unique career with family — including long hours, days, weeks and even months away from home — Jennifer Garner isn’t one of them. “Acting is a great working mom’s job and I have help,” she points out to the Sunday Herald. “I think it’s difficult for every working mother, [but] for me, I have it easier than most.” Case in point? She’s currently out promoting Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, a film she shot 11 months ago. In the interim, Jennifer has had “all this time off, to be home, to be adjusting to preschool, to be making dinner every night,” she reveals.

From the sound of things, the break might have been a bit too long! Jennifer admits that it’s been hard to tear her away from daughters Violet Anne, 3, and Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 3 ½-months. “When I first hear about a job, my immediate reaction is, ‘I can’t do it. I don’t want to do it,’” she admits. Still, the 37-year-old says she feels ”a pull” to act.

“I love my job. I love what I do and I think that it’s a huge decision to stay at home and not have that, particularly given the flexibility that I have. But I now have to love something almost too much in order to say yes to it because I just want to hang out with my girls. I didn’t anticipate that. I thought that I was much more of a careerist than that.”

Noting that “it’s a juggle, for sure,” Jennifer says that striking a balance between career and family is something she works on every day. “For example, my baby is in the next room just now, so at some point I’m going to say, ‘I’m sorry, I have to take a quick break,’” she explains. “You just really rely on people’s kindness and leniency and patience.” While she is undeniably drawn to her craft, once she is on set her approach to acting has definitely changed. “These days, with work, I come in and I go,” she admits. “You don’t want to sit and chat; You want to get in and get to work.”

“And, definitely, every bit of the day is planned and revolves around the children. Having two is kind of blowing my mind.”

Infantino My First Color Puzzles: You Spin Me Right Round Baby Right Round

Infantino My First Color Puzzles

Infantino’s My First Color Puzzles are a big hit with my 3.5-year-old son, Finn. Spin the ingenious color wheel on one piece to see the color they make when they’re blended, then match it with the appropriate colored piece.

When Finn spins the yellow and red wheel, he sees orange, then matches it with the orange card with the goldfish on it. Primary colors are there, too. They just show gradients of red, blue and yellow. Did you know that red, blue and yellow make brown? A bunch of adults at a dinner party figured that one out when they started playing with the puzzles. They’re really clever and fun and teach a great lesson.

Heidi Klum Dishes on Her Maternity Style Secrets

Heidi Klum might be pregnant with her fourth child, but she shows no sign of giving up her sexy style.

The supermodel, who was the host of the LG Rumorous Night in Hollywood to celebrate her new backplate designs for the phone, didn’t let her new baby bump get in the way of looking fabulous.

Clad in a flowing one-shoulder Thomas Wylde chiffon dress and sky-high Christian Louboutin heels, Heidi tells PEOPLE that she skips the maternity stores all together.

“I love to be creative and find cute things in between,” she says. “It’s about finding good shapes. Cool tops. Right now for example, I love the skinny pants and blousier tops, and then when I get bigger, I like to bring the form back to the body. Then I like to show it off.”

Heidi credits Balenciaga’s black jeans as her go-to pair during pregnancy. “They are super stretchy, and they are not very high, so you can kind of fit them under the belly. The bump on top can still grow.”

Though Heidi has her super-star stylist to help her find the right looks for Project Runway and other red carpet appearances, Heidi sticks to a harder look for everyday wear. “I love the lumberjacks and the ripped jeans. They are comfortable. I love over-sized t-shirts and jeans.” Pregnant or not, we think Heidi always looks fantastic!

Sasha, who was hospitalized overnight for respiratory issues, was released Wednesday morning.

“Sasha got home today and is feeling much better after being hospitalized on Tuesday night with respiratory problems,” Liev’s rep Ina Treciokas tells PEOPLE.

Constance Zimmer's Daughter Colette is Little Pim's Newest Fan!

Courtesy Tree House Social Club

At a recent event for Little Pim, an immersion language series for young children, held at the Tree House Social Club in Beverly Hills, Entourage‘s Constance Zimmer brought her 15-month-old daughter Colette to show their support. Constance said, “My daughter and I love Little Pim. My husband [Russ Lamoureux] is French so Colette and I are learning French together. Little Pim is fun for her and something we enjoy doing together.”

The Little Pim DVD series — which introduces foreign languages to babies, toddlers and preschoolers — is available in Spanish, French, Chinese, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese and English (ESL). How should you choose which language to teach your child? Little Pim recommends picking a language you have always wanted to speak, one that you can reinforce easily with your caretaker, kids, trips and music. The company tells us that all of the languages are popular but the hottest ones are Spanish, French and Chinese.

CBB Deal: Save 10% on your order with coupon code CELEBRITYPIM (expires 5/29/09).

Kevin Costner's Cowboy: Cayden!

Frazer Harrison/Getty

Actor/musician Kevin Costner smiles while toting his not-as-thrilled-looking son Cayden Wyatt, 23 months, at they attended day one of California’s Stagecoach Country Music Festival.

Held Saturday at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., Kevin’s band, Modern West, performed at the event.

Although wife Christine was spotted with the pair, there was no sign of the newest Costner — 11-week-old Hayes Logan. Maybe we’ll get a peek at him soon!

Cayden wears Converse All-Star Slip-On in Navy ($28) and a Eddie Bauer 2-in-1 Harness Buddy ($10). If you or your child prefer a different animal, check out Baby Sherpa’s Safe-2-Go Harness ($27).
