Diana Krall Loves Her 'Zany' Household

George Pimentel/WireImage

A child has a way of making any household lively and for singers Diana Krall and Elvis Costello twins means twice the fun. The pair are parents to 2-year-old sons Dexter Henry Lorcan and Frank Harlan James and Diana claims that their household is “zany in the most wonderful way.” No matter what is going on a certain day, the family has a happy home.

“You have two little boys leaping off the furniture who think they’re Buzz Lightyear while we’re practicing and playing. It’s just a happy house.”

That happy house — and Diana’s personal growth over the past two years — were the writing force behind her new album Quiet Nights. “I think [this album reflects my present] state of mind. It’s not about loss, it’s not preparing for loss. I’m not peeling grapes,” says Diana, 44. Instead, “life has changed a lot and it’s not just about performing and touring. It’s motherhood and having a home for the first time, because I’ve always been on the road. So it’s an incredible thing to be making Mickey Mouse pancakes in the morning while you’re doing your interviews.”

Diana and Elvis, 54, who married in 2003. Quiet Nights is available now.

This week Ashton Kutcher (aka @aplusk) broke the one million mark in Twitter followers and introduced Oprah (@oprah) to the phenomenon. He’s also using his fame and Twitterlebrity to raise awareness of malaria and ask fans to support Malaria No More in sending insecticide-treated mosquito nets to African countries where they are needed most.

Seal and Leni: Funny Business

Gardiner Anderson/Carlos Vila/ Bauer-Griffin

Whoa there! Singer Seal jokes around with daughter Leni as the pair arrive at Radio City Music Hall on Thursday afternoon. Seal was performing a concert there that evening, where he confirmed what sources had been saying — baby #4 is on the way!

“[The] topic of debate outside our hotel is, ‘Is Heidi [Klum] having another baby?’” he told the audience. “Heidi and I are having another baby!”

Although Heidi and the kids — Leni, 5 next month, Henry Günther, 3 ½, and Johan Riley, 2 — all attended the show, the model was the only one to hear the announcement — when Seal pointed them out in the crowd, Heidi stood up, cheered and motioned that the kids were sleeping!

Playtex Baby Einstein Eat and Discover Plates, Bowls and Utensils

Looking for a cute plate, bowl, and utensils for your independent little eater? We like Playtex’s Baby Einstein Eat & Discover Plate ($4.75), bowl ($4.75) and utensils ($3.75). The colorful items are BPA-free and recommended for children over 12 months.

We like the deep divided sections on the plate, perfect for keeping food contained. The bowl is steep and rounded to make scooping food out easier. The spoon and fork had terrific soft grip handles that were easy for my 1-year-old to grasp. It’s also available as a set ($13, but currently out of stock), which consists of a bowl, plate, spoon and a fork.

Gwyneth Paltrow: 'Maybe' More Babies!

Bauer Griffin

Never say never! Gwyneth Paltrow, who last year revealed she had “no plans” to add a third child to her family with husband Chris Martin, appears to have had a change of heart!

In an interview with the UK’s New magazine, the 36-year-old actress said that watching son Moses, 3, grow older has filled her with nostalgia. “At first I thought, ‘Okay, that’s it, I’m done, no way will I have anymore,’” Gwyneth recalls. “Then my son turned two and you think ‘Oh no, I don’t want this to be the last two-year-old I have. Maybe I’ll do one more.’”

Regardless of whether she does go on to welcome another child, Gwyneth has already been profoundly changed by Moses and his 4 ½-year-old big sister Apple Blythe Alison. She explains,

“Motherhood enriches your life in the most incredible way. My children have given me a real life. I never feel I don’t know what my purpose in life is anymore.”
