Alison Sweeney on Ben and Megan's Budding Relationship

Alison Dyer for PEOPLE for use on CBB

Alison Sweeney may be a “total workaholic,” but the actress has enjoyed every minute of her recent vacation from Days of Our Lives for one reason — she got to spend more time with her kids,  Benjamin Edward, 4 and Megan Hope, 3 months. “Being with Ben and Megan has been so great,” blogs Ali, 32. During her time with the kids, she is getting to watch their brother/sister relationship build with each little moment that takes place.

“I was making dinner the other night and I heard her cry out from the other room. But as I was grabbing a towel to dry my hands, she stopped crying … I went in to see what happened, and Ben had given her her pacifier. He was saying, ‘It’s okay, Megan, I’m here. I’m here Megan’ in this adorable high-pitched voice. It was so cute.”

The Biggest Loser host is married to Dave Sanov, a California highway patrolman.

Livie and Luca Spring 2009: Put a Little Spring in Their Step!

If your kids are like mine, their feet probably grew eleven sizes over the winter and you need to get them all new pairs of shoes. Okay, maybe it isn’t quite eleven, but still, new shoes are definitely in order at my house. This spring I’ll certainly be getting them some shoes from Livie and Luca’s irresistible new designs. It will be hard to choose just one pair, though, when each one really is cuter than the next.

For my son, the Paulo Cream and the Lime Elephants are sure to look great all through the warm months. And for my daughter, I love the Pio Pio Lavender and the Tootles Lime — both so bright and fun. The flexible Livie and Luca sole that’s perfect for new walkers and preschoolers alike just makes these shoes even better.

Each pair of Livie and Luca shoes is handmade from the softest leather and as a result, the shoes are as unique as the child wearing them. A favorite shoe of Marcia Cross, Brooke Shields and Courteney Cox-Arquette, your kids will be in good company as they strut their stuff on the playground this spring.

Education Comes First for Sarah Brown

Jason Merritt/FilmMagic

Although they themselves have made their names in the industry, celebrities often say they’d prefer their children not follow in their footsteps — and General Hospital‘s Sarah Brown is one of those stars. The actress’ daughter Jordan Alexandra Judith, 10, was recently approached by people at Disney, asking her to try out for the new season of Zack & Cody, which is “one of her favorite shows.” While it made her daughter’s day, Sarah is “not supportive of the idea of Jordan working as an actor.” Instead, she “want[s] her to focus on school. I don’t think she has any real aspirations right now to act. She’s always been very shy, so we’ll see.”

The proud mom hopes that Jordan “decides to go into medicine or law, as most mothers hope” but she knows that there is the chance that she may also dive into a music career. “Her father, Shuki Levy, is an amazing singer. He has an amazing falsetto. She could go into music one day, too.”

Nancy O'Dell Reveals Ashby's First Word: Apple!

Richie Buxo/Splash News Online

All sorts of progress is being made in Nancy O’Dell‘s household these days: The Access Hollywood co-host, who injured her knee while rehearsing for Dancing With the Stars, is making strides after surgery last month – and her daughter Ashby Grace, 22 months, is learning how to talk.

“Her first word was ‘apple,’” says Nancy, whose book, Full of Life Mom-to-Mom Tips I Wish Someone Had Told Me When I Was Pregnant, hit bookstores this week. “I opened the fridge and she pointed at an apple and just blurted it out. I started jumping up and down and screaming and dancing! She must think apple is the most delicious fruit on the planet by my reaction.”

After her “apple” epiphany, little Ashby just kept going from there. “Now, she is repeating everything we say like a parrot,” says Nancy. “She loves to say ‘I did it’ when she completes a task. But my favorite is when she asks me for something and says, ‘Mama, peeeaaassse!’ It sounds so sweet, I pretty much give her anything she wants.”
