No Slowing Down for Annika Sörenstam

Scott Halleran/Getty

Professional golfer Annika Sörenstam knows that life will likely never be quite the same after she welcomes her first child this fall. That’s why she’s making the most of every spare minute she has while pregnant, amping up her efforts as an ambassador to the sport which has given her so much.

“I need to put in the schedule: rest. I have friends who tell me I should slow down. I guess I just go with how I feel….But when you love something, I just go.”

All her travels and appearances have been carefully plotted, and Annika says she’s taking every precaution she can as an expectant mother — avoiding sushi, bleu cheese, raw foods and alcohol. Of the latter, Annika quips “Haven’t had a sip since our wedding…and I’ve got a wine launch coming up!” She adds,

“I’m 38. I’m not going to take any risks.”

Next week, Annika will likely learn the sex of the baby she’s expecting with husband Mike McGee; A delivery surprise was never an option! “I’m a control freak,” she admits. “I need to know.”

Tori Spelling Wishes Spat Stayed Private For Kids

Gilbert Flores/Celebrity Photo

As the public awkwardness between Candy Spelling and Tori Spelling continues to escalate, Tori says she wishes in retrospect that things could have been handled differently. “That’s the hard part,” the 35-year-old actress admits to FOXNews. “Because you know, now there’s children involved.” While she seems unsure whether she’ll ever make peace with her mom, personally, Tori says that “the focus” has shifted to  2-year-old Liam Aaron and 10-month-old Stella Doreen – for now.

“She is their grandparent. And if you would like to be in their lives and be a positive influence, I encourage that…Everyone is entitled to their opinion. And you know, I just think when my children are involved, wish it could be a little more private.”

Praised by host Sean Hannity for appearing to be “just a regular mom,” Tori expressed her gratitude. “That is the biggest compliment I could get.” The decision to allow cameras into her private life with husband Dean McDermott — capturing even her private interactions with the kids — on Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood is viewed by the 90210 star as a trade off.

“I didn’t have any peace before. I mean, the cameras were in my face before. But it was the paparazzi and it was the press. So, you know, which do you go with? They were writing things that weren’t the truth. So we figured, well, we’ll just put our lives out there and show them what the truth is.”

Tori’s new book Mommywood is available now.

Isabella Rossellini Keeps the Stork Out of Sex Ed

Albert Ferreira/Startraks

When it comes to having ‘the talk,’ Isabella Rossellini says to toss the timeline; Instead, parents should let their children dictate when they’re ready to learn about the birds and the bees. In a new interview with Parade, the 56-year-old former model and actress says she “tried not to push it” but at a certain point it was clear that daughter Elettra, 25, and son Roberto, 16, were in need of some clarification!

“They were asking questions, and when they ask questions I think it’s when they are ready to get the answers. So, one day I sat them around the table and said, ‘I have something incredible to tell you.’ My children grew up knowing about human reproduction. I never told them about the stork.”

That’s not to say she is stork-adverse, though! Noting that Roberto is adopted, Isabella says she can at least relate to the imagery.

“It’s like at the beginning of Dumbo, the great Walt Disney film, the stork brings a baby to all the animals in the zoo. And it always moved me because that’s a little bit how it feels when you adopt.”

Elettra is Isabella’s daughter with ex-husband Jonathan Wiedemann.

Isabella can currently be seen in Sundance Channel’s Green Porno, a series of short films about animal reproduction.

There's No Place Like Home for Tracy Pollan

Michael Loccisano/FilmMagic

Tracy Pollan gives her husband of twenty years Michael J. Fox rave reviews in a new interview with the NY Daily News, revealing that the 47-year-old actor is “a very hands-on dad” to the couple’s four children. His abilities come in handy when the 48-year-old actress accepts a role, as she recently did for Lifetime’s The Natalee Holloway Story. “When I am not there, he’s there every night; he’s up every morning getting them ready for school and giving homework help if they need it,” she explains.

That said, Michael isn’t put to the test too often. Describing herself as “a bit of a homebody,” Tracy admits “It doesn’t take long for me to get to the point where I’m ready to be home again.” While the family of six has faced its fair share of adversity, Tracy isn’t one to wallow. “Everybody has their challenges, I couldn’t say that we have more challenges than other people, they’re just different,” she says, adding:

“Happiness is definitely a priority in our household. That the kids are happy and everybody is comfortable. Self-esteem is very important. So I do think that that is a point of reference for us.”

Tracy and Michael are parents to Sam Michael, 19, twins Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, 14, and Esmé Annabelle, 7.
