It happens to all of us. You take a great shot of your toddler only to see that the dreaded red-eye syndrome has struck. Or that memorable moment with your family frolicking on the beach? Oops, too fuzzy. You wish you could somehow fix those annoying glitches with the snap of a finger.
With Aurora ($20), a new intuitive photo-editing software, the image you think you’ve captured can actually be a reality — with just a few small tweaks.
Unlike more complicated or expensive editing programs, Aurora helps you enhance your digital pictures in an easy-to-use way that doesn’t require you to be a technical genius. A pop-up image selector allows you to choose from a series of improvements: You can relight an image that’s too dark or too washed out, make a shot crisper that was slightly blurry, straighten a slightly tilted picture, even turn a color photo into a black-and-white shot.
Another great feature: Once the software is downloaded, Aurora finds the photos in your computer and imports them into the software. And you can even log onto social networking sites like Facebook and Flickr from Aurora and easily share your photos from Aurora online.
Aurora is for PC-users only, but a Mac version is coming soon. Download a 7-day trial version and try it for yourself.
