Idina Menzel Belts Her Bump

Expectant Broadway babe Idina Menzel shares a smile with composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz at the Dramatists Guild Fund Annual benefit, held last Monday at the Hudson Theatre in NYC.

Idina, who announced her pregnancy last month, will welcome her first child with husband Taye Diggs later this year.

I was in attendance of the New York Pops concert last night and had the privilege of meeting Idina Menzel. She sang part of a tribute to the discovering of The Hudson River. She is quite glowing. I was taken back by the size of her bust and baby bump. Party due to the fact I didn’t know she was pregnant. During the song she would occasionally hold or rub her pretty sizable belly. I wish her nothing but the best.

Any idea of what she is having. She seems to be carrying high. Whats that rumor? Girl? Either way she looks amazing. Pregnancy suits her.

Then again, most of the time (unless they get outed by paparazzi or other people) celebs usually hold off on an announcement until they are ready and past the 3 month mark. Its been about a month I think for Idina’s announcement… or getting close to it. She isn’t huge on the pap radar usually but she will be now. Maybe that’s why she could keep her pregnancy under wraps for a few months and now she’s starting to show. She’s also a pretty thin lady so maybe that’s why she suddenly popped.

Idina was showing before she announced it though. She is a tiny woman, so it isn’t that much of a surprised she has popped out so much. The same with Ellen Pompeo. They are probably in that stage where their belly’s seem to appear overnight. Probably why they announced it when they did.

I re-watched last week’s Private Practice and saw something that I completely missed before. Idina is playing a character that Pete is dating and when she passed him in the office, Taye Diggs’ character commented to Pete, “I like that.” I just chuckled knowing now that they are married.

I’ve heard that it’s going to be a boy!!! That child is going to be very talented/gorgeous!! I love Idina and Taye and wish them every happiness. I cannot think of two more deserving and loving people to be gifted a child.
