Playtex Insulator Twist'n Click Spill-Proof Straw Cup: No More Leaky Cups!

Playtex Insulator Twist’n Click Straw Cup

Playtex’s new Insulator Twist’n Click Straw Cup ($5.29) is an update to their already fabulous Insulator Straw Cups, with the new Twist ‘n Click leak proof seal. Just twist the lid on the cup until you hear and feel the lid click close.

We love it because it doesn’t leak, is BPA -free, and has a new ergonomic design which makes it easier for little hands to grip. It also comes in a spout cup version.

Okay, the flowers on this sippy are to die for! And I love the BPA-free design along with the straw option. Cute!

We have four of these cups, and though I like them overall, more often that not, when we’ve taken them in the car on the way to eat, they have leaked some. If there’s a little trick to preventing that, I would love to know! We make sure the arrows are in alignment as instructed, but I feel like there must be something else we’re missing! My son loves the designs and I love that they don’t break…they’ve hit the floor plenty of times to prove that!!

i love these cups. we only have two but neither have leaked. also, our target has them for about 70 cents less than the above price. :0)

Umm these leak. It’s almost like the liquid gets trapped in the straw and leaks out. My carpet can attest to it as it’s now spotted with little juice spots from this happening. I don’t believe there is any such thing as a leak proof sippy cup! I have tried them ALL and they ALL leak!

I loved the look of these cups and loved the straw and the fact that they could be opened and closed so nicely. I dishwashed 2 different cups a few times and they started tipping over. My SIL did not have these problems (she bought the girl patterns and dishwashed- I – the boys- not that it matters). The cups she had were indented on the bottom and the ones I bought grew bumps on the bottom so they tipped over every time I tried to set them down. I did not have any leaking problems with these. Maybe they were not dishwasher safe- but I have no use for non dishwasher safe cups. I really liked these except for that.

these people who came up with this cup is a genuis…they dont leak….finally a cup that doesnt leak…..so to get your leak proof cup you must do the following:
1. dont put nothing in it…..

it makes me mad when they advertise leak proof cups….these cups leak all over the place…if you dont line up the arrows right…it leaks out between the cup and cap…so you have to unscrew that cap and twist hoping the arrows line up ….if they dont you will be there forever…….dont waste your money ….

The Nuby brand of sippy cups has a sippy with a straw that DOES NOT LEAK. Granted, they’re not the insulated kind & I don’t recall the packaging stating that it’s BPA-free but if you’re looking for a straw sippy that doesn’t leak you might want to give this one a try. Plus, the valve is easily removable/washable & the straw can be taken apart in half for better cleaning. I like ‘em and my son does too. :)

We have these and they don’t leak at first but now that my daughter has tugged, gnawed, and pulled on the straw they have started to leak. Amazon has replacement straw packs that I plan on ordering.

I just wanted to add that I find that she drinks a lot more liquid with straw cups compared to regular sippy cups.

We have these and they leak for us too AND I have a much harder time unscrewing the lids… we have the same issue with the regular sippy cups just like this too.

Count us among those who found that these cute cups leak all over the place! It’s like pressure builds up in the cup and when you slide the straw cover back, a fountain of liquid spouts up out of the straw and leaks from the rim of the cup, in spite of lining up the arrows! As much as I loved the cute design, these cups just didn’t work for us.

I bought this cup thinking they have finally made a cup that has everything in one and the best was that it was spill proof! This cup leaks EVERYWHERE! Any time my son sets it down and it just sits on its side, the liquid comes up through straw and leaks and leaks and leaks. We now have stains on our carpet from juice! I would not recommend this cup at all!

honestly i was attracted to these cups because of the designs and promise of being “leakproof” and ability to keep a drink cold longer than 10mins. this cup leaks more than any cup i have pesonally tried. i have tried many over the 22yrs that i have been a mother. my 2yr old has stained many outfits, blankets, hallway carpets and vehicle seats using this cup…we bought them 2 weeks ago. i am not sure what happened with this particular product, but i would not recommend this to anyone. also pricey for an ineffective product that does not do what it promises. who is testing these cups?

We have these cups, and technically no it is not leak proof. But I still love them and so does my daughter shes 10 months. DUH think about its a straw with a leak proof valve that attaches to another straw. The liquid that remains in the above straw CAN NOT get back through the LEAK PROOF valve to go back into the cup. Hince there will never be a TRUE leak proof product because anything that remains above the valve is going to leak out if the child lays it down.

- Amy on

We recently purchased these cups as well. It’s not just the drop or 2 of milk that stays above the valve that comes out of this cup-DUH! It spouts like a darn fire hydrant! Like someone else mentioned it’s like pressure is built up inside of the cup. I have one that I have put in the dishwasher and one that I have only handwashed. They both do the same thing, so I don’t think it has anything to do with the way that you wash them. I didn’t expect it to be ‘drip proof’….this ain’t my first rodeo. ;) I did, however think that it would hold more than 75% of the liquid that I poured into it.
