Steal That Style: Jax and Jaid Step into Spring

Celebrity Baby Blog – Steal That Style

After April showers always come May flowers! If the saying proves true, sunshine and warm weather aren’t far off and with that comes the job of packing up winter clothes and exchanging them for shorts and sandals.

Fame

While some celebrities — including Ruby Maguire in her red Saltwater sandals ($36) – are already full-swing into the spring season, others are just starting to browse the stores for great footwear. Fortunately, this year, keeping up with the Joneses doesn’t mean spending the extra cash!

As actress Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and her husband Mike Nilon prove, one quick Target run later and your children will soon be sporting the looks of the stars. Check out Jax Joseph‘s (green) Circo Davidson Sport Sandal ($13) and Jaid Thomas‘ (blue) Circo Darius Sport Sandal ($15)!

Steal That Style with the affordable — $40 and under — and adorable sandals below!

Stride Rite’s Danae

Breaking Bank: When shoe shopping even for the tiniest toes in your family, the prices can quickly climb higher than most people can afford. However, with a limit set at $40, there are many fun selections and styles out there to please both parents and children alike.

Favorites: For boys we love pediped Brady ($40) and Hush Puppies Kids Thrasher ($40); For girls we are loving Stride Rite Danae ($39) and pediped Giselle ($39).

Gymboree’s Flower Sandal

Not Pinching Pennies: So much to choose from, so little closet space. Turning to some of our faithful children’s companies — including Gymboree and babyGap — didn’t disappoint in the least this season! From dressier sandals fit for birthday parties to those made for just some afternoon fun in the sun, we have got you — and your little one — covered.

Favorites: For boys, we’ve got our eye on Gymboree Toggle Sport Sandal ($25) and Timberland Kids Duneblaster ($25); For girls, babyGap’s Metallic Gladiator Sandals ($26.50) and Gymboree Flower Sandal ($25).

babyGap’s Criss-Cross Strap Sandal

Bargain Buying: Oh so cute and oh so affordable! While the lower price range tends to include a wider selection of mainly flip-flops, with a little searching there are some great spring sandals out there for both boys and girls. With K-Mart and Target offering great selections at even better prices, don’t be afraid to check out higher end stores for irresistible deals as well!

Favorites: Dress your little men in Fisher-Price Chris ($15) or babyGap’s Criss-Cross Strap Sandals ($16.50) and your little ladies in Fisher-Price Andrea ($15) or Children’s Place Bouquet Sandal ($18.50).

Do you dish out the extra dough for your child’s sandals or are you a bargain buyer? Share your favorites!

I love that each parent is holding the baby who looks like the other parent! To me, Jax looks like Garcelle and Jaid looks like Mike–at least I see Mike’s eyes on Jaid and Garcelle’s face on Jax. SO CUTE!!!
