Mid-stroll, Spike reached over to give his girlfriend a squeeze — so Matilda, 3, reached over to pat mom’s head too!
Dad is the late Heath Ledger.

This is TOO CUTE!!! I saw the picture of him hugging Michelle and that has to be one of the cutests pictures I’ve seen in a while. They seem to have their own little family. It’s sad Matilda doesn’t have her father but Spike seems to be a great father figure for her. Precious.

Time does heal after someone’s death and it looks like while Matilda will always miss her biological father, she definitely isn’t lacking love from somone else that seems willing and eager to be a parental figure to her. So nice to see!

What a sunny, happy looking little girl! I still see nothing but Heath there! I very much hope that this relationship lasts for them, they seem really happy together. While it is still so sad that Matilda lost her loving and doting father so soon, it is so wonderful to see how she amd Spike clearly enjoy each other.

I am THRILLED to see little Ms. Ledger looking so happy and healthy. She and her momma have had such a rough couple of years and it’s good to see her smiling and happy. Really Caroline?? Tell us something we don’t know. What exactly was the purpose of that comment? People are allowed to be happy for Michelle and Matilda and they are allowed to move on with their lives. Of course Spike will never be Heath. That doesn’t mean Matilda can’t love him and look up to him. She deserves to have a positive male role model in her life and I’m sure Heath would want that for her. Please grow up.

No he won’t Caroline but Heath will I’m sure be around Matilda in spirit. I don’t think Michelle will ever let Matilda forget her father. Spike seems to be stepping in as a good father figure for her, which is healthy and best for her. Matilda SHOULD be on her daddy’s shoulders but she isn’t. Her father was loved by many. I think those people will want the best for her.

When I first saw this pic, it reminded me so much of the pictures we used to see of Heath and Matilda around NYC — he used to carry her around like this! Glad to see that Spike is a good father-figure for her.

How sweet. I’m so happy they’ve been able to move on and Matilda is able to have that positive male role model in her life. She will always miss having never know her dad when she’s old enough to understand, but if she has Spike along with Michelle for love and support, I think that will make it a lot easier to handle. She is starting to look more like Michelle, though Heath’s genes definitely dominate.

can i just say that this little girl always looks so happy. mom seems like the lowkey type, but this little girl seems to be a bundle of energy and joy. perhaps she is more like her dad in that sense. on another note, i didn’t know Michelle was dating again. good for her.
