Wayne and Coleen Rooney Expecting First Child

After weeks of rumors, Coleen Rooney has confirmed to OK! UK she is expecting a baby with her footballer husband Wayne Rooney. “It’s true,” she beams. “I’m pregnant!”

“It’s the most brilliant news and, along with marrying Wayne, the best thing that’s ever happened to me. It’s something we both wanted and we feel incredibly lucky and happy.”

The couple haven’t learned yet whether baby-on-the-way is a boy or girl, and according to Coleen the answer is irrelevant. “We really don’t mind as long as he or she is healthy and grows up happy,” she says. Preparing herself for a pregnancy in the public eye, Coleen expressed disappointment that her happy news was leaked to the press before she and Wayne were ready.

“Pregnancy is a miracle, but it’s still in the early stages. I really want to be able to keep as quiet and as calm as possible for the sake of our baby. I just hope that photographers will give me a bit of peace and privacy in the months ahead. I don’t think that’s too much for any expectant mum to ask.”

Baby-on-the-way is due in October. Coleen and Wayne, both 23, were married in June.

I can understand them being annoyed with the press but is that only because it will scupper quite a few of their ‘exclusive’ deals with OK – I bet the baby pictures appear there first! I really like Coleen and watching the program when she was with her sister really showed her maternal side. Good Luck!

Coleen is lovely and so down to Earth, nothing seems to have changed her. I really admire her for her devotion to her little sister Rosie, who has Rett Syndrome. Congrats to the couple, can’t wait to see the little one!

I really like Coleen, she has to be my favourite celebrity. She is so down to earth & their fame & fortune doesn’t affect them like it does most celebrities.

Coleen’s gonna have it really tough with the press. At the Grand National last Sunday, when she was supposed to be judging a fasion event, she got caught in a press scrum and was knocked over and banged her head.

Hopefully the baby will inherit mum’s looks and dad’s footie skills!

i do sympathise with her, but you can’t pick and choose what you want to be in the papers… someonewho sells so much of there lives to celebrity magazines cannot complain when tabloids run exclusives on pregnancy news. If they are really that concerned by this then maybe they should learn to live there lives in a more private way?
