Idina and Taye Step Out After Sharing Pregnancy News

Not much of a belly yet, but it’s a start! After announcing their pregnancy on Wednesday, Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs took to the red carpet that night, attending the opening night of the Broadway revival of Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical at Al Hirschfeld Theatre in NYC.

The baby, due later this year — the pair prefer to stay mum on a due date, per their reps — will be the first child for Private Practice star Taye, 38, and Idina, 37.

Idina is normally TINY. You can completely tell, especially in her face. And in concert her belly was more obvious. She is pretty covered up here. I would say she is at least 4 months pregnant.

Yeah, Idina is usually pretty tiny, so I am going to agree with the others that she is atleast 4 months along. One thing for sure…that kid is going to have one knock out smile!

Ooh, she’s my second favourite Elphaba (Wicked) behind Alexia Khadime. I love this couple, they are both so beautiful you can bet that baby is going to be a real looker! I think this will be my new favourite pregnancy to watch develop. Big congratulations to Idina and Taye!

The general consensus among people I’ve talked to (i.e., on fan sites) is that she’s due end of August/beginning of September. Apparently they already know the gender. I’m so happy that they’re getting coverage on CBB
