Elisabeth Hasselbeck Has Her Baby Bases Covered

Andrew H. Walker/Getty

Two kids later and a third on the way in August, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and her husband Tim have their bases covered. With no plans to rush the department stores to stock up on the latest baby gadgets, The View co-host shares that, other than a few necessities, the couple are already set for their pending arrival. “We’re not doing anything to prepare,” she reveals. “Just going to go and buy some diapers in August.”

Preparing them for the big day, Elisabeth takes time out to explain to her kids that there is a baby growing inside her belly. While 3 ½-year-old Grace Elisabeth seems receptive to the idea of the new baby and is “very excited about it,” 16-month-old Taylor Thomas is a bit wary of situation. Despite showing interest by carrying around a baby doll, Elisabeth laughs that Taylor can’t possibly imagine what is to come!

“I think he knows what’s up. Still, when this happens, his world is going to be shocked and rocked.”

Gary Cole Opens Up About Daughter's Autism

Russ Einhorn/Splash News Online

With Autism Awareness Month just around the corner in April, Gary Cole opens up in the latest issue of WebMD magazine about receiving the diagnosis for his daughter Mary in 1995. Although 1 in 150 children is currently diagnosed with the complex neurological disorder, at the time Gary says all he had to go on ”was Rain Man.” The sharp increase in spectrum disorder diagnoses is something Gary is keenly aware of. He notes,

“It seems you can ask any friend, any relative and they’ll be able to tell you about someone they know with autism. Or direct you to a good doctor who can help.”

The 52-year-old actor — who currently appears on Entourage but is perhaps best known for the role of Bill Lumbergh in Office Space — says that he first suspected that something was amiss with Mary when she was two years old. “[She] didn’t process information like you or I do, and did not pick up on social cues,” he explains. His advice for others is simple:

“Seek answers, and the earlier the better.”

Noting that “your original agenda as a parent is set aside” as soon as the diagnosis of autism is made, Gary is grateful that Mary — now 16 – has gone on to lead a relatively normal life. After receiving therapy as a young child and with the help of a personal aide, she went on to attend mainstream elementary and middle schools in California, where she now goes to a special learning facility for high school.

Mary is the only child for Gary and actress Teddi Siddall, whom he married in 1992.

The first thing my daughter did when she saw the Tiny Tillia gift set ($39) was grab the bath book ($8) and put it in her mouth. Thank goodness it’s waterproof! She loves the illustrations and it occupies her while I am washing her with the Head to Toe Foamy Wash ($16).  Read More

William H. Macy On His Future Teenagers: 'I'm Shaking In My Boots!'

Anna Pocaro/London Entertainment/Splash News Online

Despite his days as a self-proclaimed “stealth” in high school, actor William H. Macy dreads the day he finds himself watching his two daughters walk through the doors and into their freshmen year. While there is no stopping the arrival of that momentous day — “I’m shaking in my boots thinking of my girls becoming teenagers!” — the 59-year-old and his wife, actress Felicity Huffman, can’t help but take pity on their children as they recall their own school day experiences. “Felicity and I both sort of shuddered when we thought of how difficult high school is on kids,” he tells PARADE. “I wouldn’t want to go through it again.”

Relating to his character in the new film Bart Got a Room, William shares that the adults who imagine themselves in the fairy-tale world of perfect parents are simply setting themselves up for failure. “Being a parent myself, I realize this whole notion of trying to be a good parent is a lose-lose situation,” he says. Instead, for William — who questions the true meaning of a “good parent” — the feeling of being an accomplished father is a result of becoming a constant support system for the family. He explains,

“I do know that the way you keep score, when it comes to being a parent, is did you show up? Whether you had the right things to say or whether you handled the situation properly, who knows? But did you show up?”

William and Felicity are parents to Sofia Grace, 8 ½, and Georgia Grace, 7. Bart Got a Room will be in select theaters on April 3rd.

Heidi Klum: Leni Thinks Victoria's Secret Models are 'Barbies'

Ramey

The life of a supermodel is surreal for many, but for the children of a supermodel even more so! During a recent appearance on The Bonnie Hunt Show, Heidi Klum, 35, revealed that her 4 ½-year-old daughter Leni has been to the rehearsals for several Victoria’s Secret fashion shows — and she likes what she sees! “Leni loves it,” Heidi said. “She thinks it’s 27 Barbies walking down the runway, so for her this is like…’Wow!’”

As for her other two children – Henry, 3 ½  and Johan, 2 – Heidi said she’s looking forward to the fall when Johan will start preschool, and she’ll have an empty nest to call home…for a few hours at least! “School will be like a one-stop shop,” she notes.

“I’ll drive there and drop them off…It’s going to be great. Otherwise you have to drive them to all different places all the time which is hard when you have three, and they all have different things that they like to do. One likes soccer, the other is ballet, the other is hip-hop. So I try to have them all do things together.”

Heidi raises her three children with husband Seal, whom she married in 2005.
