Skip Hop Splash: The Functional and Attractive Bottle Drying Rack

For a long time I resisted the idea of using a designated drying rack for my son Travis’s bottles because it seemed like yet another baby-centric product parents could do without. (We were doing fine without a Diaper Genie and wipes warmer, so why stop there?) But it became apparent that using our dish rack, then a Tupperware container to hold his bottles (and their various parts, from the cap, the nipple to the venting valves) wasn’t exactly practical, especially when we were washing bottles several times a day. The bottle accessories got lost easily in our dish rack and day-old water had to be dumped out from the Tupperware lest it contaminated the newly-washed bottles. Ick. So I decided to give Skip Hop’s Splash Bottle Drying Rack ($28) a try. Read More

Gavin Rossdale Unsure of Kingston's 'Punk Rocker' Future

Ian Lawrence/Splash News

Successful singer/songwriter and father Gavin Rossdale seems to have discovered the secret to balancing his demanding career with the responsibilities of parenthood. “How do you make it work?” Gavin asks in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight. “Organize the chaos!” For Gavin, that advice will soon be the key to smooth sailing.

Ready to head out on tour — his wife, songstress Gwen Stefani will simultaneously be on the road with her band No Doubt — Gavin admits that bringing his boys along for the ride will “be challenging,” but could not imagine his life any other way. “I like the idea that we’re both working and both doing what we love,” he shares. “So, that’s the way it goes. Anyone who has kids knows about sacrifices and the time you spend with your kids and working and different priorities.”

While baby Zuma Nesta Rock, 7 months, will tour with his mom — “he needs the milk, you know?” — Gavin couldn’t be more thrilled to have 2 ½-year-old Kingston James McGregor keeping him company. According to the proud papa, Kingston is already aware of his famous father’s singing abilities. “He knows what we do and he asks me when I leave the house if I’m going to go sing today,” says Gavin. While Kingston may be on the sidelines watching his parents belt it out on stage, Gavin has no doubt that his “punk rocker in the making” will be a star of his own some day.

“I don’t know if he’s going to put that punk rocker to use in a band or whether he’s going to be like a Svengali manager.”

Halle Berry Unsure If She'll Have More Kids

INF

Although she’s reportedly open to the idea of making daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry, 1, a big sister, during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Halle Berry appeared to sing a different tune. The 42-year-old Academy Award-winning actress told host Jay Leno,

“My mind wants another child, but my body is saying something else.”

Her stance on at least one other issue remains the same, however. Asked by Jay if she plans to wed partner Gabriel Aubry, Halle replied with a definitive “No!” before adding: “The answer to that is never going to change.” The couple recently celebrated their daughter’s first birthday with a low-key affair. “I don’t really understand why you have to [have a big party],” she admitted. “We had cheap little party hats, from like CVS.” The small fête — and her reluctance to have another baby — is in no way indicative of her feelings for her daughter, however. Raved Halle,

“I am enjoying motherhood. It’s been the best thing that has ever happened to me in my whole life, actually.”

Ana Ortiz Preps for Her Baby Girl

Darla Khazei/Pacific Coast News

Pregnancy hasn’t been a bumpy road for Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz. In fact, the actress, who’s due with a girl at the end of July, says she feels “phenomenal.”

“I’ve had a great experience so far,” the radiant actress told PEOPLE Saturday at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York City, where she wore a form-fitting white J. Mendel dress (pictured). But, she added, “Talk to me in another month.”

So, what’s she craving? “French toast and pancakes,” says Ana, who’s married to guitarist Noah Lebenzon. “Other than that, I want citrus and lots of fruits.”

Ana is already busy designing her baby-to-be’s room. “I just met with the decorator today. I didn’t want it too frilly frou-frou, too canopy princess-y. So we’re doing a sort of eco-friendly, beautiful room,” she says. “I’m not sure of the color palette yet, but it’s going to be gorgeous.”

And Ugly Betty costars America Ferrera and Vanessa Williams are hosting her baby shower. “A friend of mine owns Green Baby, so Ana has all the green baby products she could ever want,” Vanessa told PEOPLE at the GLAAD event. “But my gift to her was the catering. I’ve got a wonderful woman who is going to cater. I said, ‘Please allow me to do that.’ “

“I was so flabbergasted that she even offered,” said Ana.
