Marcia Cross and Girls' Sunny Stroll

Pacific Coast News

Eden and Savannah Mahoney take the lead while mom Marcia Cross follows behind on the walk home from the park on Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif.

In her recent interview with us, Marcia said, “I realized that there was nothing I could do about [being photographed]. Being upset about the paparazzi would put me in a cranky mood and ruin my time. I decided I didn’t want that to happen, so I’ve just ignored them.

There have been a couple of times when I’ve gotten upset, usually when boundaries are crossed. There’s a certain protocol that even the paparazzi seem to follow, and when that’s broken then I get a bit outraged. But for the most part if they keep their distance, my children don’t really know what’s going on, so I’m fine with that … Sometimes they’re nice – they’ve given me pictures, or they’ll give me privacy for a day.”

Clive Owen: Completely Content With Being a Ladies Man

Jon Furniss/WireImage

After welcoming a bundle of baby boys, many parents are met with a looming question from family and friends: ‘Are you going to try for a girl?,’ while the opposite is often posed to those who find themselves in an abundance of pink. For actor Clive Owen, despite finding himself among the latter, he tells Times Online that he is perfectly content with his household of women!

After being raised in a family that included five boys, the 44-year-old admits that his past experiences are “very different from being in a family of women, which I am now!” However, the proud papa of daughters Hannah, 12, and Eve, 9, has no complaints. “I’ve never been one of those fathers who wanted to try again for the boy because he’s got girls,” he shares. “I’m very happy being around girls.”

“I’m just crazy about my girls and I don’t need anything else!”

Elated with the path his life has taken, Clive finds great pleasure in simply being at his Highgate, North London home, relaxing with his wife Sarah-Jane Fenton and their daughters. According to the actor’s Duplicity costar, Julia Roberts, his ease in being a dedicated family man is the quality that shines through in Clive’s performances, capturing the attention of his audience. “The thing about Clive is that the happiness and security he has in real life is what allows him to go into a room and grab everyone’s attention effortlessly,” she reveals. “The secret is, everyone is really attracted to contentment.”

Duplicity is in theaters Friday.

Susan Sarandon Tackles Empty Nest Syndrome

Jim Spellman/WireImage

For years Susan Sarandon resisted the urge to appear on Broadway, for the late nights weren’t conducive to the early morning demands of family life. Now that her three children — Eva Amurri, 23, Jack Henry, 19, and Miles Guthrie, 16 — are “old enough” that they “don’t want” to see as much of their mom, she’s signed on to star in Exit The King. “I’ve spent 25 years directing my family,” the 62-year-old actress notes to New York magazine, and the “seismic, huge” changes brought on by a rapidly emptying nest have her thinking that the timing is finally right.

“I’d be quite content to stay home, but I felt like I was putting too much of a burden on them to help create my world.”

Eva is Susan’s daughter with ex-boyfriend Franco Amurri; Jack and Miles are her sons with longtime partner Tim Robbins.

Exit The King runs now through mid-June at the Barrymore Theater in New York City.

Madonna Considering Another Malawian Adoption

Piko Press/Splash News Online

David Banda Richie, 3 ½, continues to thrive under the care of his mom Madonna, who in a new interview says she is doing her best to keep the tot “connected to his Malawian culture.” Reveals the 50-year-old songstress,

“It is a big priority for me to educate my son about the world … He has a big map of Africa in his room with lots of arrows pointing to Malawi.”

From the sound of things Madonna will soon be following those arrows, herself; In response to emailed questions from Malawi’s The Nation newspaper, she hints that another adoption is on the horizon. “Many people — especially our Malawian friends — say that David should have a Malawian brother or sister,” she wrote. “It’s something I have been considering, but would only do, if I had the support of the Malawian people and the Government.” As for her recent divorce from David’s dad, ex-husband Guy Richie, Madonna characterized the relationship as “very amicable.”

“I believe in family…we both agree that our children should always feel a deep connection with both their parents. It is our responsibility to give them that foundation.”

In addition to David, Madonna and Guy are parents to 8-year-old Rocco. Madonna has a 12-year-old daughter, Lourdes Maria, from a previous relationship with Carlos Leon.

Philadelphia Phillie Marcus Giles Opens Up About Death of Daughter

Tony Firriolo/MLB/Getty

The death of a child is something that no parent could ever forget, but Philadelphia Phillies’ infielder Marcus Giles has a constant reminder of his loss tattooed on his left arm. The series of numbers represent the GPS coordinates of his daughter Lundyn Mae‘s headstone, he tells the Philadelphia Inquirer. Born 12 weeks prematurely in 2002, Lundyn survived just 16 days outside the womb. “We prayed and prayed until she died,” Marcus, 30, recalled. “Obviously, it was a nightmare, but you know she is in a better place.” He adds,

“She doesn’t have to suffer anymore. She doesn’t have to worry about the kinds of infections or diseases that she would be prone to.”

Marcus and his wife Tracy Giles wasted little time in getting pregnant again. ”It was an easy decision to have another kid right away,” Marcus explained. “We both enjoy kids a lot, and we knew that’s what we wanted.” As for the three healthy daughters who have arrived since Lundyn’s death – Arrington Mae, Sawyur Rae, and Tatum Kane — Marcus reveals,

“We tell them they have an older sister in heaven.”
