Molly Ringwald Reveals Mathilda's Family Plan

Charles Eshelman/WireImage

After a successful run of movies in the ’80s including Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast Club, Molly Ringwald has returned with a big splash! Not only is the 41-year-old starring in the ABC Family series Secret Life of the American Teenager, she also revealed in January that she and her husband Panio Gianopoulous are expecting boy/girl twins.

While choosing her favorite role to date is difficult for the expectant mama — “at different times I like one better than the other” — Molly tells PEOPLE that having her pregnancy written into the storyline is a perk she has definitely gotten used to! “I love having professionals on-set buying me maternity clothes,” she says. “The more, the better!”

As she basks in the extra help during filming, Molly shares that upon welcoming her babies in August, the added assistance she will be receiving will come from none other than her 5-year-old daughter Mathilda Ereni. According to the proud mama, her little girl seems to have made a plan when it comes to baby duties.

“[She] decided she’ll take care of the girl and I’ll take care of the boy.”

When she is not working, Molly passes her days at the beach or on mother-daughter bike rides with Mathilda as she anticipates the arrival of the twins. “I’m excited and overwhelmed, but mostly excited,” she explains. As for her pregnancy, the actress admits that carrying twins has been a new experience, right down to her cravings! “With Mathilda all I wanted was nachos. Now all I’ve been craving is raw vegetables,” she shares.

Bummas: After The Wipe and Before The Dipe

The easiest way to prevent diaper rash is to keep that area dry, but wipes leave that cute tushie all wet. That’s where Bummas ($17 for 10) come in handy. They are little, 5×7″ rectangles of soft, 100% cotton fabric. They’re velvety soft on one side and terry-cloth-like loops on the other. Just use them after the wipe to dry baby completely and toss them in the laundry. They wash up nicely and return to their original softness, with no shriveling or unraveling whatsoever. And they’re made in the USA. I know you could cut up washcloths yourself, but the edges would fray when you wash them. Trust me. I know this from experience. Bummas come all rolled up in a cute pack of coordinating colors so I love them for a shower gift.

Gwyneth Paltrow: Moses is 'Very Specific' About Likes, Dislikes

Richard Young/Startraks

The definition of grace under pressure, actress Gwyneth Paltrow revealed at Tuesday night’s premiere for Valentino: The Last Emperor that she flew across the pond specifically for the event with her two children in tow — 4 ½-year-old Apple Blythe Alison and 2½-year-old Moses. “It was hectic getting ready,” she admitted. “My kids are really jet-lagged, and my son had a meltdown…But we got out the door.”

Barely! Gwyneth said that the clips used to pin her hair back as a makeup artist styled the 36-year-old Two Lovers star were a source of great concern for Moses. “He hated them,” Gwyneth said. “He was livid.” What’s more, Moses was no fan of Gwyneth’s Valentino gown, either! “He did not like it…he’s very specific.” Fortunately, from the sound of things, Apple was a more forgiving audience. Reveals Gwyneth,

“My daughter really liked it. She also chose my [pink] nail polish color.”

Apple and Moses are Gwyneth’s children with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, whom she wed in 2003.

Two Lovers is in theaters now; Valentino: The Last Emperor is in limited release.

Sarah Jessica Parker Enjoys Being a Hands-On Mom

Bruce Glikas/FilmMagic

Like most moms, Sarah Jessica Parker is painfully aware that someday she will no longer be cool enough to stand alongside son James Wilkie Broderick, 6. “Children are so cute and talkative when you get them out of bed, vulnerable blabbermouths, but when they get older they talk less,” she notes in a new interview. “As the days fly past, it’s only going to be a few more years that he likes me.” Noting that James is “borderline embarrassed” by her already, the 43-year-old Sex and the City star makes the most of their time together – employing a babysitter only when she has been left with no other choice. “I don’t delegate that job of getting my son dressed and out of the door in the morning to anyone else unless I have to,” she says.

“It’s not so much that I think I’m so incredibly interesting to be around, but I feel like I would lose out and be worse off if I didn’t do it. I’m not saying my son wakes up in the morning and is inspired by me, it’s just that I love being his mother.”

When they finally do exit their home for the quick walk to James’ school, they often have company in the form of paparazzi. “We have people following us every day,” she notes. “I don’t think my son is becoming used to it — I don’t think it’s good for him — but it is what it is.” And while she has declared previously that she would prefer a large family and has even hinted at wanting a daughter, Sarah Jessica is backing away from those statements, for she says there is no right answer to the question of whether she’ll have more children.

“No matter what you say, either it’s, ‘Poor Sarah Jessica, she wants more and hasn’t had them,’ or, if I say, ‘No, we’re quite content,’ they say, ‘What a cold, heartless, selfish…’”

Famously named the ’Unsexiest Woman Alive’ by Maxim magazine in 2007, Sarah Jessica isn’t concerned by the title. “I think a lot about how to be a better person instead,” she says. “Better wife, better mother, better friend. Those I work on.”

James is Sarah’s son with husband Matthew Broderick, whom she wed in 1997.
