Jaime Pressly Writes Memoir For Dezi

Vince Flores/ Celebrity Photo

With her separation from ex-fiancé Eric Calvo, aka DJ Eric Cubiche, “still fresh” actress Jaime Pressly says her only focus in life remains Dezi James Calvo, the couple’s 22-month-old son. That much is evident when she talks about the impetus behind her new memoir It’s Not Necessarily Not the Truth: Dreaming Bigger Than the Town You’re From. “When I found out I was pregnant, I started writing it, and I was writing just for my son,” Jaime reveals. Writing wasn’t all she was doing as she awaited Dezi’s birth, however! A 42-pound weight gain left Jaime feeling “ginormous” and the 31-year-old My Name is Earl star could barely wait to undo the damage! Ten days after delivering, she hit the gym. Recalls Jaime,

“I worked out so hard. I started doing two hours a day, six days a week. Two and a half months after he was born, I was turning 30, and the last thing I wanted to do was be fat at my 30th birthday party in Vegas.”

Despite the demands of her filming schedule Jaime says she makes it a priority to either wake up with Dezi each day, or put him to bed at night. Noting that time has passed “so quickly,” she adds,

“It’s gnarly. I remember being pregnant like yesterday. He came out like Superman. It was so cute.”

It’s Not Necessarily Not the Truth is available now. Jaime’s new movie I Love You, Man is in theaters Friday.

It’s baby number four for Guiding Light‘s Daniel Cosgrove and his wife Marie. The couple welcomed their first son, Finnian Jack Cosgrove, on Wednesday, March 4th. He joins big sisters Lily, 8, Esme Rose, 6 and Ruby Willow, 3 ½.

Daniel, 38, joined the daytime serial in the role of Bill Lewis in 2002, but left the show in 2005 when his contract expired. He returned to GL in 2007. Julia Roberts Explains Motivation Behind Twins' Names

Kevin Winter/Getty

In a pair of talk show appearances earlier this week, actress Julia Roberts offered insight into how she and husband Danny Moder arrived at the names Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus ’Finn’ Walter for their 4-year-old twins. “Hazel is an old-fashioned name, and she’s a strong, perfect Hazel,” Julia noted during a Tuesday appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. Meanwhile, on Wednesday’s Live with Regis and Kelly she revealed: “[With Phinnaeus], my husband wanted to name him Finn, which I quite liked, but it seemed like a nickname…So I said we had to have a proper name, and then we can call him Finn.” Hazel takes after Julia’s sister, with “big blue eyes and ‘real’ blonde hair,” Julia revealed; Meanwhile, Finn is described by his mom as ”perfect and lovely.”

Host David Letterman observed Julia’s ”little patch” of pink hair and inquired about its origins. “Hazel thought I should,” a matter-of-fact Julia replied. “For someone who wants enthusiasm and support but perhaps less attention, I don’t think that having pink hair is the way to go…So I went for just a little bit.” While Hazel was pleased with the end result, her brother was even more enthusiastic! Reveals Julia,

“Finn is crazy about it. He’ll stop people in the market. ‘Sir, sir. Look at my mommy’s hair!’”

Although she feels her heart has been “cracked right open” since welcoming the twins and their 21-month-old brother Henry Daniel, Julia has no plans to expand her brood. “No, I think I’m good,” she said.

Julia’s new film Duplicity is in theaters now.
