pHisoderm Deep Cleaning Cream Cleanser

While my son tried out pHisoderm’s baby line, I was re-introduced to pHisoderm’s facial cleanser, a product I hadn’t used since my teens. I’ll admit: after sticking with another brand’s non-comedogenic cleanser for years, I was (really) reluctant to switch up my skincare routine. But I began using pHisoderm’s Deep Cleaning Cream Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin as a nighttime cleanser to wash off makeup and a day’s worth of pore-clogging air pollutants that come with living in a big city.

A small dollop of the creamy cleanser turned out to be a very effective but gentle makeup remover — even washing away traces of mascara on the first try! The soap-free, alcohol-free wash contains soothing aloe and chamomile, so my skin didn’t feel tight or dry, just thoroughly clean. And though the new cleanser no longer smells like the pHisoderm of my youth, the subtle new scent is reminiscent of fresh-cut grass — not at all unpleasant if you like your cleansers to smell clean rather than perfume-y.

I miss miss miss the original Phisoderm. I wish they still made it.

I miss the original too. For a few years, I could go into offbeat stores and find old bottles of it… but no more. I don’t understand why Mentholatum would buy the original product, then do away with it! Hello!!! You have customers out here!
