Brady Wilkerson's First Birthday Fun!

Update: Melissa answered a few of your questions from the comment section:

“Hi there,

I’ve worked for the Disney company for over 13 years. My show [Sabrina the Teenage Witch] was on ABC, I’ve done two TV movies for ABC Family (My Fake Fiancé airs April 19th), and they also aired Tying the Knot [my wedding series]. So they take good care of me and my family — but we do trade pictures for park passes. They get us a wonderful tour guide to help make our day amazing and we get to skip lines which is incredible. The characters came out to see us, but they were inside at the Minnie Mouse breakfast with all the guests that were in the restaurant. However, like some of you have said, they treat all guests — and especially birthday guests — very special.

Brady’s look on his face cracks me up because it’s bordering on crying and laughing. He is unsure at that moment what he is feeling. So funny!

[As for the other questions,] yes, I changed my hair and cut some awful bangs that are just starting to look decent. They look weird in the pics because I had my “ears” on and Brady pulled them off! My necklace was a gift from a friend from Bellies N Babies.

Thanks and love,

Melissa”

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY Brady!!! Even though kids to notice is but 1st bday is very important! :D Such a sweet and loving family! Beautiful pictures! Thx!

- Nancy on

I’m curious – are the cake, balloons, Pooh bear because she’s a celebrity? Or can us normal folks arrange something like that for our kids?

- Kimber Christian on

There is something so beautiful and magical about the look in a mother’s eye when she smiles at her child. I love how Melissa’s eyes are just sparkling at her baby boy!

- madylane on

Yeah, the look in a mother’s eyes when she looks at her child when he is amazed is so magical and special and beautiful. I think Brady’s name is written on the back of his hat. I also wonder if everyone can have a party like that or it’s special for them?
Did Melissa change her hair? Or is it just the picture and the way they were placed?

Happy Birthday Brady!! 1 year old already! Time goes so fast!

- Stéph on

Well Kimber, for my youngest sister’s 1st birthday there was cake, balloons, and someone dressed as Pooh Bear too (which didn’t go over so well…apparently giant talking animals are scary to alot of kids. LOL)!!!

- Shaunie on

Yes Kimber, regular people can have those kinds of parties at Disneyland as well. Disneyland and World makes a big deal out of birthdays for everyone – even if you don’t plan to have a party there they will still give you a birthday party button which allows you to sit in the front car of every ride, regardless of where you fall in the line, and you get free desserts/cookies at every resturant. They even do that for adults.

That first photo is precious. The look on Brady’s face is priceless, and Melissa’s eyes are absolutely sparkling as she looks at her baby boy. Love the family photo too – they seem so down to earth. Mason and Brady are both such cuties! :-)

Rose in that case im going to Disneyland for my birthday soon

- Molly on

Love it, what a great way to spend a first birthday.

Anyone know any info on the necklace Melissa is wearing? It’s exactly what I’ve been eyeing up for myself.

Lovely Mom + Hot, Devoted Dad/Husband + Adorable Kids = A Beautiful Family. Nuff said. ;)

I’ve noticed that we get lots of official pictures (instead of candids) from Disneyland. What’s the deal with that? Given that Disney are getting official pictures, what do they celebs get in return?

Most celebs only pose for those type of pictures with their children if they are getting paid. Do they get the park to themselves for some time?

- amelle on

I want to celebrate my birthday at Disneyland too! with Pooh! (and I’m 31 years old! lol)
Beautiful family :)

- sil on

Oh what a little cutie! Kids will either cry in that situation or revel in it; he’s obviously going for the latter.

I immensely dislike both her kids names but she would probably hate my kids names too :)

- Ellen on

they’re all so cute!

- jasmine on

How cute is this! I love the pics.

- Kelly on

The celebs get good publicity by these cute photos, plus free entrance, don’t have to stand in line for the rides etc. That’s what I assume anyway.

- Anna on

I’m interested in how they get these pics taken too, I think it’s really wonderful. Maybe they’re getting a big party for free? Or maybe they just get the actual pictures and don’t have to pay for them because Disney gets their okay to release them? I have no idea.

“Most celebs only pose for those type of pictures with their children if they are getting paid. Do they get the park to themselves for some time?”

From what I understand they’re given a tourguide who takes them around the park, and they don’t have to wait in any of the lines.

- Rose on

What precious pictures! I just back from Disney with my friends and we also got hats with our names on the back

- Sarah on

Adorable boys, they look like mark. Disney is such a fun place for kids, what a nice place to celebrate a birthday.

- gianna on

Does anyone know where Mason’s “Big Bro” T-shirt is from? I have been looking for something similar!

- Lauren on

I just love this family! I can’t believe Brady is already a year old!! I have to say I love her name choices. I may be biased though since my son is named Braedon!

- Melanie on

They’re such a cute family!

- Maggie on

Cute family! I think the tee is from Em Tanner and several places carry them like The Silly Wagon.

- Amber H. on

Soo adorable! For some reason I love it when CBB posts pics of families at Disneyland – it probably stems from my own Disney-filled childhood, but that is something I am dying to do!

- Ryo on

Where did Mason get his t-shirt?? I love it!
