Those are all great teething tricks…something I’m concerned with right now as my youngest is cutting her first teeth. I just discovered Oh Plah! and am love! It’s a stylish and handy bracelet cuff to wear…see more here:

OMG at drinking the windshield washer fluid. That is so scary, my jaw dropped just reading the headline.

how heartbreaking and shocking that they did not have their son treated. there really are no words, my thoughts and prayers are with that sweet, brave little boy.

Thanks SO much for the teething tips! My 6 month old son, Remington, just cut his first tooth and has been very cranky. Poor baby- I’m going to try some of these to see if it helps.

That was disgusting and infuriating to read how that little 8-year old boy died because his parents were too selfish to take him to even the local ER (which I am sure would never turn anyone away even if the medical fees can’t be paid), but thought nothing of paying almost a hundred dollars to give their dog a freaking flea treatment??!!?? Hey, I’m a dog lover myself, but for goodness sake I’ll choose a child over a dog any day! What concerns me is that’s likely not the only case. There’s likely thousands and thousands of children in the same situation. So sad. I hope the judge throws the book at those incredibly negligent parents. Rest in peace sweet child. 😦

OML, I don’t know if that blog was supposed to be funny or what. The writer came off as ignorant and ungrateful. If she felt that strongly about things, she should have did the adult thing and explained these things to her family and friends in person, rather than a childish rant on a blog.Being pregnant is an exciting time for everyone and everyone wants to offer support and be a part of it.Yes,some times people push it, but that is where standing up to them (in person) comes in place. I know so many people that wished someone actually cared to be involved in these things. A friend of mine didn’t even have her family show up at her baby shower because they thought that she as not deserving of it. These people who have that support need to step back and appreciate it sometimes. I would not be surprised if all her support just dropped off one by one now after reading that.I’m sure they would probably feel appalled and disgusted as I do.

Back in the 80’s and early 90’s, I remember some flavors of blue Kool-Aid were actually pulled because they looked too much like windshield wiper fluid. Still, you have to wonder exactly how this mistake was made.

Lawyer: Where did you keep the Kool-Aid?

Daycare Center Attendant: In a pitcher on a shelf.

Lawyer: And where do you keep the windshield wiper fluid?

Daycare Center Attendant: In a pitcher on a shelf next to the Kool-Aid.

I’m not only appalled that the parents chose to treat their dog over their precious child, but that folks are actually defending their choice. The comments following the original CBSNews article are appalling. There are so many financial options for treating sick children nowadays, but going without medical attention is NOT an option.
