Maxine Bahns Welcomes Daughter Madison Rose

It’s a girl for The Mentalist‘s Maxine Bahns, who welcomed daughter Madison Rose Watson on Sunday, March 8th in Santa Monica, Calif. Maddie, as Maxine and husband Patrick Watson plan to call her, weighed in at 6 lbs., 2 oz and is 19 1/4 inches long. “Madison is doing great and the happy parents are excited to bring her into their home,” Maxine’s rep tells PEOPLE.

Announcing the pregnancy and sex of the baby in January, Maxine shared her daughter’s name and due date — the end of February. Although Maddie ended up being a week late, Maxine, 38, felt that it was close to a perfect pregnancy. As for the name, she explains,

“I love the nickname Maddie. And my husband’s mom’s name is Rosemary, so we wanted to honor her by giving our daughter the name Rose.”
