Alex Rodriguez bends down to give daughter Ella, 10 months, a kiss (and smooches Natasha through the fence — see extended post!) during a visit from the girls and ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez on Wednesday.

The Yankees third baseman was preparing to play for the Dominican team in the World Baseball Classic.

Ella wears Trumpette Baby Tracks in Silver/Pink ($27.50).

I think it’s amazing how Cynthia and Alex have been so civil in the way they focus on their girls. While their divorce was really splashed across the headlines, Cynthia is still present when the girls are with Alex. It’s really awesome when divorced parents can be civil and encourage relationships between the kids and both parents.

And wow! Ella is a carbon copy of her mom, and that kiss through the fence picture is just gorgeous.

He really loves his kids and of course he is civil to his ex wife.
He has changed a lot and now that he wants to spend time with them
his ex wife will always bring them to wearever he plays baseball.

his wee girls are going to be gorgeous when they grow up arod will have his hands full. I think cynthia is lovely and not mean spirited as some media and public think, they also may under estimate how much she really means to arod, and they look good together. The more family photos the better. I think Ella is her dad all over.

The gilrs are so adorable. I actually think that Ella looks just like her father. She is an adorable baby, and I love her expression. She is obviously a bit confused by the photographers. I’m not surprised they were all crowding around them. Natasha just gets prettier everytime we see her. Alex is definitely a doting father and seems to really love his daughters.
