Tori Spelling On Liam's Proud Pull-Ups Moment

Albert Michael/Startraks

Since welcoming daughter Stella Doreen, now 8 months, life in the Spelling-McDermott household has been tough on actress Tori Spelling, who admits “it’s crazy having two kids both in diapers at the same time.” The tides are changing for the family, however, as Tori revealed on a Thursday appearance on The Today Show that her son Liam Aaron, 22 months, is ready to trade in his diaper days for trips to his potty. “He’s the big man on campus. He’s going through potty training which is a whole new world for me,” says Tori.

Playing it safe with Pull-Ups, Tori banked on Liam’s obsession with the movie Cars to make the transition between diapers to using the potty as smooth as possible. Fortunately, the car designs on his Pull-Ups worked wonders for the toddler, who proved this past weekend during a shopping trip to Barney’s that he is more than willing to show them off to the world!

“His thing is, when he meets people, he’s not socialized like adults. He doesn’t know how to say, ‘Hi, how are you?’ He shows you things, like he points to Mom, and he actually dropped his pants and wearing his Pull-Ups, he went, ‘Car! Car!’ and he was pointing down and I thought, ‘Okay.’”

Calling motherhood “amazing,” Tori shares that the perks of having her own reality show — on its upcoming 4th season — allows for the working mama to spend time where she is needed most. “I work full-time so being a mom…obviously that’s my most important job, so that’s the one I want to focus on,” she says.

When the going does get tough, Tori can always rely on her “amazing” husband, she gushes. In fact, according to the 90210 actress, a supportive husband seems to be the secret to balancing both her successful career with the responsibilities of motherhood. “Dean helps me through everything. We really are a team — we get to work together, we get to play together,” says the 35-year-old.

Christopher Wallace Says He's No 'Little Biggie'

Kristin Callahan/Everett

Although he signed on to portray his late father Christopher Wallace — better known as the rapper Notorious B.I.G. – in the new film Notorious, Christopher ‘CJ’ Wallace Jr., 12, wants you to know that he’s his own (little!) man. “I don’t want to be known as ‘Little Biggie,’” he tells the Times Online in a new interview. “It’s nice that I have a famous father, and that I get a reputation through him, but I don’t want people saying ‘Hey there goes Biggie’s son, that’s Biggie’s son!’”

“It’s, like, no, my friends call me CJ.”

Preparing for the role was challenging in that CJ’s father died when he was just five months old; To assist him in his efforts, he enlisted the help of those who knew B.I.G. the best, like his mom — CJ’s grandmom — Violetta Wallace. “Most people know Biggie Smalls, but few of them know the real Christopher Wallace,” CJ says. “My grandma … taught me a lot more about my father, the things he would do, and how he was around people.” Some aspects of his dad’s life remained off-limits to CJ longer than others, however! “I wasn’t allowed to listen to him when I was younger, because the lyrics were too explicit,” CJ admits. “He curses a lot.”

“But as I got to nine and ten I really got to know all of the songs. I just listened. Listened to his lyrics and to what he was talking about.”

With his performance receiving critical acclaim, CJ says he’s in no hurry to proclaim himself an actor or a rapper. “Everyone’s saying to me, ‘Oh CJ, you should get an agent and a manager and do this and do that, but I have so many options now,’” he says. “I just want to finish school and maybe get into sports.”

Notorious is in theaters now.

Naomi Watts: Returning to Work After Sasha Was 'A Struggle'

As she continues to make the rounds in support of her latest film, during a Friday appearance on CBS’ The Early Show Naomi Watts couldn’t help but reflect on what a whirlwind her life has been over the last several years. With two baby boys — 18 ½-month-old Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete and 9-week-old Samuel ‘Sammy’ Kai — a fiancé in actor Liev Schreiber and a burgeoning career, the 40-year-old actress says that The International holds a special significance for her. “This is the only movie I’ve done since I’ve been a mother,” she noted; In a separate interview with MoviesOnline.ca, Naomi revealed that – as a result – the shoot “was a struggle.” She elaborated,

“You don’t have the foresight particularly the first time around to know how difficult it will be until you’re there. In fact, I was still nursing my baby at that point and we were shooting at night in the freezing cold and I wasn’t going to have him in the trailer on the set, so I would be expressing milk and sending it back to the hotel and then having to feed him all day the next day when I should be sleeping. So it was hard, it was definitely a challenge.”

After the success of Mulholland Drive in 2001 Naomi admits she took full advantage of the myriad roles which were offered to her, but she was left feeling “burned out” after King Kong in 2005. She then took a well-deserved break, which proved to be well-timed, indeed! “I needed a bit of a rest, and then I met Liev… and then the babies started coming,” she said. Going forward, Naomi admits that the roles she accepts will most definitely be influenced by her new role as a mom, though probably not creatively. “I think my tastes will always remain the same,” she said. “I’m not going to just suddenly start doing kiddie-friendly films.” With that said, Naomi adds,

“My taste is my taste. But my choices will always be affected by things like when does this shoot, how long for, is the family able to come along, whose turn is it, and stuff like that.”

The International is in theaters now.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Dreads Empty Nest Syndrome

Jen Lowery/Startraks

With her older son of legal driving age, Julia Louis-Dreyfus knows that an empty nest looms large on the horizon. “It’s coming,” she concedes of 16-year-old Henry. “It’s so thrilling to see your kids evolve into thoughtful, active, independent people…but what do you do without them?”

The quiet that will no doubt descend upon the home she shares with husband Brad Hall might give the 48-year-old actress time to reflect, however — although from the sound of things, there’s plenty of that already! Julia tells WebMD magazine she looks back at her days as a young mom on the hit show Seinfeld and wonders whether she made the right decisions. “There were days when I thought my brain would blow up!” she admits.

“Women want to do everything, and it’s hard to pull off. I brought both my kids to work with me [to the set] when they were little. It was great, but it also split my focus. I had a nursery set up so I could nurse them, then I’d run back to do a scene. Was that the best way? I’m not sure.”

Like most working moms, Julia says she frequently felt as though one or the other — the kids or the job — was suffering. On the other hand, she notes “maybe it was good for these two little boys to see their mother working and having a fulfilling career.”

“I am in no way disparaging women who stay at home …we beat ourselves up no matter what we choose. Inevitably, you make good and bad decisions. We all do. And you make mistakes. But you do your best.”

In addition to Henry, Julia and Brad are parents to Charles, 11.
