The decision to scale back her career to focus on family was almost certainly difficult for actress Michelle Pfeiffer, but necessary all the same. In a new interview with The Scotsman the 50-year-old Dangerous Liaisons star says that she’s “always looking for ways to simplify life,” and that raising Claudia Rose, 15, and John Henry, 14, while simultaneously running a production company “pushed the limit” of her energies. “I love acting and I love making movies, but the business side of film-making was getting in the way,” Michelle explains.
Now that she’s returned to the set in earnest — her new film Cheri opens next month – Michelle admits that her kids are familiar with the film-making process. At the same time, she doesn’t hesitate to keep them at arm’s length depending on the material. “My children are old enough to understand what mommy does for a living,” she notes, adding,
“I take them on set whenever possible, but it’s better for me if they’re not there at difficult scenes. You’ve always got all these plates spinning in the air.”
Claudia and John are Michelle’s children with husband David E. Kelley.

Happy Birthday Cruz David Beckham! The youngest Beckham boy is now 4 years old. Son to soccer star David and pop star Victoria, Cruz has a certain star quality — he even broke it down onstage at a New York City Spice Girls concert last year!
When not busy being younger brother to siblings Brooklyn Joseph and Romeo James, Cruz spends a lot of time out and about, hanging with his dad and sightseeing with his mom. Bound to be a heartbreaker, Cruz has good manners, as well (thanks to mom!).
Born in Spain and traveling throughout Europe at a young age, Cruz now lives in Los Angeles with his superstar family. Can’t wait to see more of this smiling cutie!

It’s a girl for Whitley Kros designer Sophia Coloma! Coco London Coloma arrived on Wednesday, February 18th at 3:10 p.m., weighing in at 8 lbs. and 20 3/4 inches long, her rep tells CBB. Coco, who is “healthy and beautiful,” is the first child for Sophia and husband Marcus.
With her background, of course Sophia cannot wait to dress up her daughter! “I love baby clothes – being a designer and having a little girl is a bit of a killer combination,” she laughingly told us in an interview last month. “Coco’s wardrobe is already huge – I think my husband is scared!”
